In some embodiments, there is provided a system for identifying and evaluating an unidentified AV including a first identified AV configured to transport one or more retail products comprising: a plurality of sensors configured to provide sensor data used to determine patterns of movement of AVs over a time period; and an AV control circuit configured to: receive the sensor data; determine one or more patterns of movement of an unidentified AV based on the sensor data; determine whether the one or more patterns of movement of the unidentified AV is inconsistent with one or more sets of expected patterns of movement of the plurality of identified AVs; and identify that the unidentified AV is not associated with a retail store.

Flight data recorder streaming (FDRS) solution

In one or more embodiments, the method for a streaming flight data from an aircraft involves transmitting, from a flight data unit(s), the flight data to a flight data recorder streaming (FDRS) server. The method further involves determining, by the FDRS server, at least one antenna to use for streaming the flight data by analyzing the flight data. Also, the method involves generating, by the FDRS server, an antenna selection signal according to the antenna(s) to use for streaming. In addition, the method involves transmitting, by the FDRS server, an antenna selection signal to an antenna switch unit. Additionally, the method involves selecting, by the antenna switch unit, the antenna(s) to use for streaming according to the antenna selection signal. Further, the method involves streaming, by the antenna(s) to use for streaming, the flight data to a satellite(s).

Integrated Imaging System for a Connected Aircraft

An integrated imaging system for a connected aircraft includes cameras mounted within the passenger cabin and other interior and exterior areas of the aircraft. Each camera may have a particular field of view (FOV) which may include one or more defined zones within the aircraft. Each camera may capture an image stream including direct views of passengers, seating, and/or within the camera's FOV. The system includes image processors for receiving the raw image streams and assembling enhanced image streams, e.g., by stitching together or composing image streams from within the same zone or from different zones, or by overlaying the image streams with relevant environmental data. The enhanced or composite image streams may be wirelessly sent to fixed-mount or mobile display devices (e.g., tablets, smartphones) for viewing by cabin crew, who may scroll through or select different views of the aircraft via the display devices.

SERVICE, VICINITY, AND VEHICLE INCIDENT MITIGATION

Architectures and techniques are presented that can mitigate danger presented by an unsafe condition that can affect a vehicle or an occupant of the vehicle. An unsafe condition can be identified based on activation input, which can be received from an incident activation device such as a panic button or a sensor that detects the unsafe condition. The activation input can trigger an incident mitigation procedure that can determine a safe destination for the vehicle or occupant and a safe course by which to navigate to the safe destination.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR TRANSPORTATION VESSEL NETWORK COMMUNICATION SERVICE ANOMALY DETECTION

Methods and systems for detecting an anomaly with a communication service provided to a transportation vessel along a travel route are disclosed. In some aspects, performance metrics are obtained for a monitored vessel while the travel is in progress. Historical travel routes are identified having characteristics similar to those of the monitored vessel's travel route. Corresponding performance metrics of the historical travel routes may be aggregated via mean or median operations, and the results compared to equivalent metrics of the monitored vessel. If accumulated negative variances between the monitored vessel's performance and the historical travel route's performance exceed a threshold, an anomaly may be determined to exist. In this case, the systems and methods may generate an alert in various forms, including email, text, or selective network commands to various networking components, including, for example, instructing networking equipment on board the monitored vessel to perform a power cycle operation.

Systems and Methods for Monitoring Pilot Health

Pilot health monitoring systems, methods, and apparatuses are provided. A pilot health monitoring system is configured to collect information regarding the pilot's physiological and/or physical characteristics, and information regarding a state of the aircraft; analyze the information; determine a health condition of the pilot and/or a state of the aircraft; and/or provide warnings and/or commands as a function of the information.

Station deselect and cueing system

An aircraft is provided and includes an airframe defining a cockpit with first and second control stations configured for co-activation and complementary deactivation, flight control assemblies disposed at multiple locations of the airframe and a flight control computer (FCC). The FCC is configured to control operations of the flight control assemblies in accordance with current flight conditions and commands received at activated ones of the first and second control stations that are inputted by a flight crew. The FCC includes a secondary monitoring system to identify when commands are input at a deactivated one of the first and second control stations, to determine whether the commands are indicative of normal and intentional piloting inputs and to generate control station cues in an event the commands are indicative of normal and intentional piloting inputs to alert the flight crew of a hazardous condition or automatically turn the station back on.

AIRCRAFT DISTRESS TRACKING AND INTERFACE TO SEARCH AND RESCUE SYSTEM
20190025436 · 2019-01-24 ·

An apparatus and method of delivering an alert from an aircraft to a search and rescue system. An alert from an aircraft is received via a communications satellite. The alert comprises identification information identifying the aircraft and position information identifying the position of the aircraft. In response to receiving the alert, an emulated distress radio beacon signal is generated. The emulated distress radio beacon signal comprises the identification information and the position information in a standard format of a signal generated by a distress radio beacon. The emulated distress radio beacon signal is broadcast from a location other than the aircraft as an emulated distress radio beacon transmission that is configured to be received and processed by the search and rescue system.
