Systems and Methods for Illustrating the Flight of a Projectile
20180243630 · 2018-08-30 ·

A system for illustrating the flight of a sports ball includes a radar, an imager, and a controller. The imager is configured to image a moving sports ball. The controller is configured to (i) receive, from the imager, an image including the moving sports ball, (ii) receive, from the radar, radar data associated with the moving sports ball, (iii) determine, from the radar data, a portion of a trajectory of the moving sports ball, (iv) alter the image to illustrate the portion of the trajectory relative to the moving sports ball, and (v) output the altered image.

A somatosensor device comprises a handle (10) having a hollow free end (130) to form a cavity (133) with an opening in a tail end surface (131); a wireless charging circuit board (30) overlapped on the tail end surface (131); a tracker (50) fixed on the wireless charging circuit board (30) and electrically connected with same, the tracker (50) inserted into the cavity (133) as the wireless charging circuit board (30) is overlapped on the tail end surface (131); and an end cap (70) covered on the free end (130) of the handle(10), so as to seal the cavity (133) with the opening in the tail end surface (131). The configuration takes account of the sealability and wireless charging.

Systems and methods for coordinating radar data and image data to track a flight of a projectile
10052542 · 2018-08-21 · ·

A system for coordinating radar data and image data to track a flight of a projectile includes a radar, an imager, and a controller. The imager provides an image of an area into which a projectile is to be launched. The controller receives the image and an identification of a target within the image and identifies a target line connecting the target and a launch position of the projectile. The controller also receives data from the radar relative to at least a portion of a trajectory of the projectile, generates image based trajectory data by correlating the radar data and the image, and alters the image to include the image based trajectory data within the image and the target line within the image.

Sports equipment swing training aid incorporating a reversible thermochromatic leuco dye for providing a temporary visual swing-related feedback to a user and a method of use
10052543 · 2018-08-21 ·

A sports mat system incorporating a reversible thermochromic leuco dye includes an impact pad portion having a reversible thermochromic leuco dye incorporated into it in order to provide a temporary visual indication of the path of a sports apparatus swing. The impact portion changes color with a temperature change due to frictional contact between the pad and the equipment being swung, in order to visually illustrate the swing path of the club along with the club head/face orientation during impact. In another implementation, a racquet is provided incorporating a reversible thermochromic leuco dye into a portion of racquet strings to temporarily visually illustrate the contact area between the racquet face and a ball being struck, in order to provide the user with feedback relating to characteristics of their swing.

Non-planar table tennis racket
10046218 · 2018-08-14 ·

A non-planar table tennis racket includes a racket blade and a racket handle connected together according to an offset angle. The linear configuration of the handle connected directly to the planar racket blade creates a non-planar racket body that is asymmetrical and unbalanced, capable of imparting ultrahigh spin to a table tennis ball.

Firearm having tactile biofeedback reference feature

A firearm that provides a user with tactile biofeedback. The firearm includes a tactile reference feature that extends longitudinally along an exterior body surface and is formed with dimensions specifically tailored to harness the user's natural attributes of sensibility, proprioception, and neuromuscular memory to improve a user's accuracy.

WEARABLE DEVICES WITH SPORTS IMPLEMENTS
20180110299 · 2018-04-26 ·

Disclosed herein are improved wearable devices with sports implements (e.g., hockey stick, tennis racket, golf club, etc.). A wearable device can be worn on any suitable part of a user's body (e.g., foot, leg, arm, etc.) or, alternatively, over a device (e.g., shoe) already worn on the user. The wearable device can be permanently affixed to a sports implement or, alternatively, can be adaptable with a sports implement selectable from a set of interchangeable sports implements. Such interchangeability can be provided by a coupling mechanism that is configured to detachably couple the wearable device to the sports implement. The coupling mechanism can include a receiver base integrated to a body of the wearable device and a complementary accessory base of the sports implement.

A glove including a dorsal panel having a finger region. The dorsal panel includes an array of four finger regions and each finger region having at least two weights coupled thereto in a longitudinally spaced relationship to each other. The dorsal panel includes a thumb region spaced and orientated away from the finger region. The thumb region includes a weight coupled thereto. The glove includes a weight coupled to the finger region of the dorsal panel. The weight includes a sealed pocket having heavy grains. The weight is not selectably removable. The glove includes a palmar panel coupled to the dorsal panel and thereby forming a cavity therebetween. The palmar panel includes a slick surface.

Table Tennis Ball Storage Device
