VIRTUAL REALITY SIMULATION OF A LIVE-ACTION SEQUENCE
The present disclosure generally relates to virtual reality simulation, and more specifically, in some implementations, to devices, systems, and methods for use in a virtual reality sports simulation. A system for virtual reality simulation may include an accessory (e.g., one or more of a bat, a glove, or a helmet) for interacting with a virtual reality environment. The accessory may provide the user with haptic feedback that emulates sensations that the user would experience when playing a live-action sport to provide the user with a more meaningful and realistic experience when playing a virtual reality game. Further, virtual reality simulations disclosed herein may include incorporating data from a live-action event (e.g., a live-action sporting event) into a virtual reality environment to provide a user with a realistic experience.
SPORTS SWING TRAINING SYSTEM AND METHOD OF OPERATION
A sports swing training system and method of operation trains the proper swing of a shaft to hit a sports target, such as a ball or puck so as to drive the sports target at a proper direction and velocity. The assembly provides a base. A height adjustable rod extends perpendicularly from base. A spring positions between the base and the bottom end of the rod to enable side-to-side swaying by the rod. A target holder attaches to top end of rod to retain a first sports target. A hub and a washer disposed at the bottom end of rod are rotatable about the rod. A rotating tethering mechanism extends from the hub, so as to enable tethering the interchangeable sports targets to a cable. The cable attaches to the tethering mechanism from a proximal end and attaches to a second sports target from an opposite end.
FIELDING AID ACCESSORY TO SECURE ON A FOREARM OF A PLAYER TO ENSURE OPTIMAL ARM POSITION
Disclosed is a fielding aid accessory to secure on a forearm of a player to ensure optimal arm position. In one embodiment, a fielding aid accessory includes a rectangular arcuate panel, a first loop strap, a first hook strap, a second extension strap, and a retaining element. The first loop strap and the first hook strap are anchored at a center of a first side of the rectangular arcuate panel to wrappably attach and secure the fielding aid accessory onto a forearm of an athlete. The second extension strap is anchored on a second side of a top of the rectangular arcuate panel to extend over and through a center opening of a fielding glove to securely affix the fielding glove to the rectangular arcuate panel. The retaining element is anchored at a bottom side of the rectangular arcuate panel to enable the athlete to securely position the fingers of the athlete.
SMART BALL AND LOCATOR SYSTEM
The present disclosure provides a wireless signal transmitting ball to be used in practice or gameplay of a sport and/or other entertainment activities. The ball of the disclosure comprises a microprocessor unit configured to record, process, and transmit data to a paired device. Further disclosed is a method of actuating the ball between different modes. The ball could be used by players during practice to record data about their performance. The ball could also be used by players or game officials or referees to keep score, adjudicate and decide the gameplay. For example, the information about location of the ball could be used to track balls that could potentially be lost. Additionally, data about spin, trajectory, speed, force applied and the like could be used by players or broadcasters for gaining insights to add to viewing pleasure.
TACTILE BIOFEEDBACK REFERENCE ATTACHMENT
A tactile reference attachment for providing a user with tactile biofeedback. The attachment includes a tactile reference feature that extends longitudinally along an exterior body surface and is formed with dimensions specifically tailored to harness the user's natural attributes of sensibility, proprioception, and neuromuscular memory to improve a user's performance.
Systems and methods for illustrating the flight of a projectile
A system for illustrating the flight of a sports ball includes a radar, an imager, and a controller. The imager is configured to image a moving sports ball. The controller is configured to (i) receive, from the imager, an image including the moving sports ball, (ii) receive, from the radar, radar data associated with the moving sports ball, (iii) determine, from the radar data, a portion of a trajectory of the moving sports ball, (iv) alter the image to illustrate the portion of the trajectory relative to the moving sports ball, and (v) output the altered image.
SMART BALL, LOCATOR SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREFOR
Golf club head or other ball striking device having stiffened face portion
A ball striking device, such as a golf club head, has a head that includes a face configured for striking a ball and a body connected to the face, the body being adapted for connection of a shaft proximate a heel thereof. The face has a thickened portion including an annular tapered area that tapers in thickness between an upper boundary and a lower boundary and encloses an elevated area bounded by the upper boundary. The upper and/or lower boundary defines a shape having two lobes, each with an outer edge with a convex profile, and a connecting portion extending between the lobes, such that the connecting portion is defined by two outer edges extending between the outer edges of the lobes, wherein at least one of the outer edges of the connecting portion has a concave outer profile.
Sports Equipment Bag
A sports bag configured as a backpack for use in storing gear is provided. The sports bag includes a main body having a pair of straps coupled to the top or back of the main body, and a pair of storage pouches coupled to the back and bottom of the main body, each pouch including a fastening member to provide access to the pouch, and each pouch including at least one strap to stow the pouch when not in use.
Baseball training device
A baseball training device for allows a catcher to easily slide back and forth behind home plate so as to give the pitcher a better target and thus improve his or her technique and accuracy when it comes to the game. The baseball training device is used with a bucket having a bottom surface and an open top, the top having a circumference of a given diameter, the device having a frame with two parallel rails spaced a predetermined distance apart along their length; and a platform attached to said parallel rails, the platform having a top surface and a width that spans said predetermined distance between said parallel rails, so that the platform is movable along said length of said rails, the platform having a groove with a circumference approximately the same as the circumference of the top of the bucket for receiving the top of the bucket.
