Solar power panel failure detection and searching system
10036716 · 2018-07-31 · ·

A solar power panel failure search and detect system to search and detect malfunctioning or failed sites of a solar power panel. A search unit is installed in a remotely controllable aerial vehicle. The search unit maintains a constant distance between a solar panel and a failure detector, and maintains the failure detector at an optimum angle. A control unit controls a flight path and a flight angle of the aerial vehicle and controls/regulates an angle of the failure detector, a receiver, a processor, and the search unit. The search unit has an angle sensor, the failure detector, an angle adjuster and an imaging device. The control unit has a transmitter to transmit the search result data.

Methods and apparatus for positioning aircraft based on images of mobile targets

Methods and apparatus for positioning aircraft based on images of mobile targets are disclosed. An example method includes identifying, by executing first instructions via a processor, a mobile target in an image obtained by a camera mounted on a first aircraft and obtaining, by executing second instructions via the processor, current coordinates of the first aircraft. The example method includes determining, by executing third instructions via the processor, coordinates of the mobile target based on the coordinates of the first aircraft and the image. The coordinates of the mobile target are within an area of uncertainty. The example method includes determining, by executing fourth instructions via the processor, a first position for the first aircraft that reduces the area of uncertainty of the coordinates of the mobile target.

The systems and methods are provided to provide communication coverage to an unmanned aerial vehicle. A proposed flight path of a UAV may be collected, and a communication signal distribution, such as a cellular signal distribution, along the proposed flight of the UAV may be determined. At positions having low or no communication signal, relays may be provided to improve a quality of the communication signal. The relay may be a ground device or an aerial vehicle. A stable and continuous communication between the UAV and user terminals during the entire flight path of UAV may be provided, and a coverage of cellular signal may be expanded.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLING WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION OF A REMOTELY PILOTED AIRCRAFT
20240351680 · 2024-10-24 ·

A system for controlling weight distribution of a remotely piloted aircraft is described. The system comprises a payload weighing platform, a control unit, and a counterweight gantry system. The payload weighing platform is configured to be positioned within the aircraft and receive the payload. The control unit is configured to: receive payload sensor data from the payload weighing platform; determine payload weight and payload center of mass; determine a target position for each of at least one counterweight, the target position determined to control a center of gravity of the aircraft by controlling the weight distribution of the aircraft; and provide a counterweight position signal to the counterweight gantry system. The counterweight gantry system is attached to the aircraft and is configured to move each of the at least one counterweight to corresponding target position in response to receiving the counterweight position signal.

Techniques are described for configuring a monitoring system to assist users during a detected emergency condition at a property. In some implementations, sensor data from one or more sensors that are located at the property are obtained by a monitoring system that is configured to monitor the property. A determination that there is an emergency condition at the property is made by the monitoring system based on the sensor data, determining. A location of a person inside the property is determined by the monitoring system based on the sensor data. A first path to the person and a second path to guide the person away from the emergency condition are determined by the monitoring system. The first path to the person and the second path to guide the person away from the emergency condition are navigated by a computing device of the monitoring system.
