Divot tool and method of manufacture thereof
A divot repair tool for fixing divots in the playing surface made while playing golf. The tool is attached to the grip of a golf club and used to replace and fix divots in the grass. The club allows the tool to be extended to the ground without bending over or squatting down, thus reducing sports related injuries. The divot repair tool includes removable prongs and blade that can be used to fix the divot holes using a levering motion or a rotational motion. The divot repair tool can include an automated motorized embodiment that can rotate the tool and the individual prongs to repair the divot holes. Both versions can press the divot material up against a flat surface of the tool to further flatten the playing surface.

Golf balls including a plurality of radar detectable marks disposed on any single layer or among two or more layers thereof are provided. When all of the radar detectable marks present on any layer of the ball are radially projected onto the outer surface of the ball, the resulting overall pattern of projected radar detectable marks includes a series of three or marks located on a 1.5 mm wide great circle band on the outer surface of the ball.

A touch-free solar powered golf ball washer (1) includes a housing (4) a conduit having an inlet (7), a porous conduit section (6) containing brushes (2) immersed in a cleaning fluid solution (9), an air blowing motor (3), the motor configured to blow air through an air flow tube (20) into the conduit porous section (6) and a non-porous conduit section (15) at through which a golf ball passes on its way to an outlet (8). The washer motor is preferably powered by a solar power circuit (10) in electrical communication with a solar panel (11). The motor can be activated by waiving one's hands proximate a touch-free activator panel (17) on the housing of the washer.

A golf club head includes a club body having a crown opposite a sole, a toe end opposite a heel end, a back end, and a hosel. A first magnet is coupled to the club body. A second magnet selectively engages the first magnet, such that in a first configuration the first and second magnets attract, and in a second configuration the first and second magnets do not attract, wherein the second magnet is configured to rotate relative to the first magnet between the first configuration and the second configuration.

Some disclosed golf club heads include body having at least one raised sole portion and a cantilevered ledge extending down around a perimeter of the club head below the level of the raised sole portion. Some disclosed golf club heads include one or more sole openings in the body and a sole insert that is mounted inside the body over the sole openings. The sole can include weight tracks as well, and a rear weight track can extend between a toe side sole opening and a heel side sole opening. A crown insert can also be included that is mounted over an upper opening in the body.

A putting training device having the same size and feel of a standard golf ball yet adapted to exaggeratedly deviate from an expected line of action when mishit relative to a predefined line of action. The putting training device may have one or more inner cavities wherein an inner spherical object rolls along a tracked, concentric first curvature when the putting training device is struck with a putter accurately along the predefined line of action, and wherein the inner spherical object moves to a side portion of the one or more cavities upon the putting training device being mishit, resulting in the exaggerated deviation that affords the user a visual feedback they can learn from and recalibrate their future putts to.

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including medium-encoded computer program products, for 3D flight tracking of objects include a method including determining a golf ball trajectory based on observations by sensor(s), extrapolating the trajectory backward in time, calculating distance measure(s) between the extrapolated trajectory and physical locations, determining one of the physical locations to be an origin of the golf ball based on the distance measure(s) and two types of separately estimated errors, wherein a first of the two types of separately estimated errors affects ball positional error for the initial observations, and a second of the two types of separately estimated errors affects an angle of the extrapolated trajectory; and presenting golf ball data on a display device associated with the origin of the golf ball.
