DRONE DELIVERY SYSTEM HUB FOR FACILITATING PARCEL DELIVERY BY UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLES
A drone delivery system hub and method for sending for take-off and receiving for landing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The drone delivery system hub includes a center shaft frame, a parcel-conveying system supported by the center shaft frame, structural arms coupled to and extending outward from the center shaft frame in a spoke-like configuration, drone-conveying systems each supported by one of the structural arms, and a linking conveyor span. The drone-conveying system conveys the UAVs along a length of a correspond one of the structural arms toward and away from the center shaft frame. The linking conveyor span selectably rotates to different orientations between different pairs of the structural arms, selectively conveying a UAV thereon between any two of the structural arms. The linking conveyor span is located above the parcel-conveying system such for the UAV thereon to deposit and retrieve parcels from the parcel-conveying system.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DELIVERING A PAYLOAD
Examples include an apparatus for delivering a payload. The apparatus includes a first autonomous vehicle and a second autonomous vehicle that are configured to be coupled to an aircraft. The first autonomous vehicle includes a wing and a first propulsion system configured to deliver the second autonomous vehicle to a first destination. The second autonomous vehicle includes a payload and a second propulsion system configured to deliver the payload to a second destination.
Systems, Devices, and/or Methods for Managing Drone Deliveries
Certain exemplary embodiments can provide a receptacle constructed to receive deliveries from a drone. The receptacle can comprise an automatically openable lid; and a wireless receiver that is constructed to receive data concerning a delivery from the drone. The automatically openable lid can open to receive the delivery from the drone.
Access management system
An access management system includes a mobile device with a processor and a memory and a software platform including at least a processor and a memory. The software platform is configured to analyze data obtained from the mobile device and other devices connected to the software platform. Specifically, the software platform is operable to determine if an access key received, read, or captured by a mobile device matches an access key for an authorized account, object, device, or space for the mobile device, and to provide access to the mobile device if the access key received, read, or captured by the mobile device matches the authorized access key.
COUPLING DEVICE
A coupling mechanism securing a first object having a well to a second object having a lug, including a shuttle movable within the lug, a resilient biasing means biasing the shuttle away from a base of the well when the lug is inserted, and locking elements movable radially in the lug between a retracted position and an extended position. Each locking element moves from the retracted position and retains in the extended position by a surface profile of the shuttle. The coupling mechanism includes a movable stop having: a first position in which movement of the shuttle is limited so the locking elements interact with the surface profile, and a second position in which movement of the shuttle is extended to cause the locking elements to interact with another surface profile of the shuttle, moving the locking elements from their extended position to their retracted position.
Unmanned aerial vehicle with package carrier
An unmanned aerial vehicle, including: a propelling device configured to generate a downward airstream; a package carrier; and wheels arranged so as to allow the package carrier to stand alone. The package carrier includes: vertical members which surround a package in a horizontal direction to prevent falling of the package; support members configured to support a load of the package at positions; and a coupling device configured to hold vertical members so as to enable relative horizontal movement. The support members are each fixed to a corresponding one of the vertical members. The wheels are each mounted to the corresponding one of the vertical members, and enable the relative horizontal movement of the vertical members under a state in which the wheels are on the ground. Through the relative horizontal movement of the vertical members, the package is separable from the support members.
Apparatus for a dispatch and delivery system
A package unloading and conveying system including a landing platform and one or more container aligning linear rails. The container aligning linear rails for aligning, on or above the landing platform and a hold of an aerial vehicle placed in front of one of multiple conveyor belts. One or more package extracting tools adapted to push or pull the package out of the aligned hold into a container aligned with one of the multiple conveyor belts. The multiple rail arrangements each adapted to convey the container to one of the multiple building windows from one of the multiple conveyors.
INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, METHOD FOR SETTING RELEASE PLACE, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEMORY
The article transportation system S acquires first sensing information obtained by sensing a peripheral area around a user including a release candidate place with an optical sensor 23 of a user terminal 2 and the position information of the user terminal 2. Then, the article transportation system S determines whether the release candidate place satisfies one or more application conditions on the basis of the first sensing information, and in a case where it is determined that the release candidate place satisfies the one or more application conditions, sets a release place suitable for releasing an article from an UAV 1 on the basis of the release candidate place and the position information of the user terminal 2.
