Turning plate for measuring the pushing-off forces of swimmers

The invention relates to a turning plate for measuring the pushing-off forces of swimmers in a swimming pool when turning and includes force sensors for determining the pushing-off forces and a stiff plate, which can be secured in a stable position parallel to the pool wall. The turning plate has a stiff rectangular frame on which the stiff plate is secured with pre-tensioning by a clamping screw at four locations, in each case over a force sensor. Moreover, next to each of these force sensors, an adjusting pin is arranged on the frame and can be driven out from the frame in order to support the frame on the pool wall. The frame has at least one, preferably two stiff securing brackets for mounting it on the pool edge, preferably on a starting block.

[Problem] To provide a foldable frame structure, unfoldable into a 2N-sided polygonal shape (N being an integer equal to or larger than 2), achieving a securely and rigidly supported unfolded state and a compact folded state. [Solving means] 2N upper rods (210), with an equal length, are coupled to each other to define a planer 2N-sided polygonal shape. First coupling means (220) coupling two adjacent upper rod (210) at a corresponding one of apices of the 2N-sided polygonal shape, and holding the two upper rod (210) in such a manner that the upper rod (210) are rotatable about an orthogonal axis orthogonal to axes of both of the two rods and rotation means (240) that enable each of the upper rods (210) to rotate about the axis (AX1) are provided. Folding to be a columnar shape as a whole can be achieved with the upper rods (210) pivoted about the orthogonal axis (AX2) to minimize an angle between two adjacent upper rods (210) while the upper rods (210) are rotated about the axis (AX1).

METHOD FOR MONITORING SWIMMING STATE BY MEANS OF WEARABLE DEVICE, AND WEARABLE DEVICE

A method for monitoring a swimming state by using a wearable device and a wearable device are provided. The method includes: providing a swimming mode in the wearable device, and storing standard swimming stroke data that have been collected in advance as corresponding template data, when a monitoring process starts, activating the swimming mode according to an instruction given by a user who will immediately enter water, and after the swimming mode has been activated, controlling a sensor to collect swimming stroke data of the user; obtaining test data for identifying a swimming state of the user from the swimming stroke data; and matching the test data with each template data, and when the test data that are successfully matched the template data exist, identifying the swimming state of the user to be the swimming state that corresponds to the template data associated with the test data that are successfully matched.

SWIMMER PACING APPARATUS

The apparatus includes a light emitting pace rope positioned under water that shows where the swimmer should be to move at a selected pace. The LED rope includes a ribbon cable with ground, power and control wires. Equally space LEDs are attached to the ground and power wires along the cable. The cable and LEDs are received in a transparent plastic tube couplers are attached to the cable ends. The plastic tube is encased in transparent silicone. Ends of the LED rope are attached opposite pool end walls. A power supply is connected to a coupler. A micro-controller provided signals to the control wire which provides additional power to illuminate the LEDs one at a time at the selected pace. Additional LEDs are provided to continue the pace in the opposite direction.

A water floating device that offers support for the head or neck of a user when swimming or practicing water exercises. The floating support device includes a unitary piece body made of a floating and waterproof material. The unitary piece body has a U-shape including a curved central section having a first leg on a first end and a second leg on a second end. The first leg and the second leg project from the curved central section. The first leg and the second leg angle inwardly to one another.

Aquatic exercise device

An aqua-resistance exercise device includes an elongate member, a strap, fasteners, and one or more fins. The elongate member includes an engagement portion, a shaft extending from the engagement portion, and a handle to be gripped by a user. The fasteners are provided to the engagement portion of the elongate member and an inner side of the strap to releasably attach the strap to the engagement portion of the elongate member. The one or more fins are adapted to be received on the strap, and the fasteners releasably secure the strap to the engagement portion of the elongate member to thereby releasably secure the fins to the elongate member.
