Coating Composition for Metal Substrates
The present invention provides novel packaging articles, e.g., food and beverage cans. Preferred cans typically comprise a body portion and an end portion, wherein at least one of the body and end portions are aluminum and are coated on at least one major surface with a coating composition of the present invention. Suitable coating compositions of the present invention comprise: one or more polyester resins, wherein at least one of the polyester resins has a glass transition temperature (T.sub.g) less than about 50 C., and wherein the polyester resin is formed by the reaction of one or more polyacid molecules and one or more polyol molecules; and a crosslinker. Preferred compositions are substantially free of mobile BPA and aromatic glycidyl ether compounds, e.g., BADGE, BFDGE and epoxy novalacs (e.g., NOGE) and more preferred compositions are also substantially free of bound BPA and aromatic glycidyl ether compounds. In more preferred embodiments (e.g., alcoholic beverage cans), the polyol molecules used to make the polyester resin are substantially free of NPG. The present invention also provides a method of making such cans.
Sealed containers and methods of filling and resealing same
A container and method for filling same. The container includes a penetrable and resealable portion that is resealable, and a container body having a sealed empty chamber in fluid communication with the penetrable and resealable portion for receiving therein a substance. The container also includes a base, a mid-portion, and an upper portion axially spaced from the base on an opposite side of the mid-portion relative to the base. Each of the base and upper portion define a laterally-extending dimension greater than a maximum laterally-extending dimension of the mid-portion. The method of filling the container includes penetrating the penetrable and resealable portion with an injection member and introducing a substance into the chamber, withdrawing the injection member while engaging the base of the body to substantially prevent upward movement of the body, and applying energy to the penetrable and resealable portion to form a gas-tight seal.
SYSTEMS, APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR FORMING, FILLING, CLOSING, AND SEALING GABLE TOP CARTONS FOR USE WITH LIQUID SOAP COMPOSITIONS
The present disclosure provides systems, apparatus and methods for forming, filling, closing, and sealing gable-top cartons with liquid detergent compositions such as all-purpose cleaners, dish soaps, and hand soaps, and without incurring leaking. The liquid detergent compositions in the corresponding gable-top are generally from a wide spectrum of high to low viscosity and PH levels. Once properly formed, filled, and sealed the liquid detergent compositions may remain inside the gable-top carton without leaking or degradation for at least the liquid detergent composition's shell life.

Method of manufacturing pouch container, pouch container, pouch container with cap, and double container with discharge mechanism
A method of manufacturing a pouch container, includes: forming a pouch bag having one open end, by fusion-bonding a resin layer on an inner side of an end of a first film, with a resin layer on an inner side of an end of one or more second films; molding a mouth part member made of a resin, including a brim portion and a standing portion; attaching a lower surface of the brim portion of the mouth part member made of the resin to an outer resin layer of the first film of the pouch bag, by integrating the resins, using one of ultrasonic, heat, or high-frequency welding; filling the pouch bag with contents from the one open end of the pouch bag; and sealing an inside by fusion-bonding the one open end of the pouch bag to seal the pouch bag.
