BALL THROWING DEVICE
A ball throwing device for dog owners includes a handle connected to a head with an elongate shaft, the head defining an opening into which a ball can be inserted. The handle further includes a hollow interior to receive a roll of pet waste bags, an aperture being provided in the side wall of the handle, through which the bags can be dispensed.
Pet exercise and entertainment device
Implementations described and claimed herein provide systems, apparatuses, and methods for exercising and entertaining a pet. In one implementation, a pet exercise and entertainment device includes a launch funnel for launching projectiles for a pet to retrieve. The launch funnel has a feeder and a chute. The feeder is configured to receive a projectile and transport the projectile to an intake end of the chute. A sensor is configured to sense the projectile in the intake end of the chute and to command one or more motors to power up in response to sensing the projectile. An actuator is configured to release the projectile from the intake end of the chute into the launch end of the chute after a pre-determined time has elapsed. One or more wheels, rotated by the one or more motors, are configured to launch the projectile from the launch end of the chute.
MULTI-FUNCTION HAND WEIGHT AND METHOD
A multi-function hand weight includes a handle having a grip axis, a first end and a second end opposite the first end along the center axis. The handle includes a first handle compartment inside the handle and proximate the first end. The hand further includes a second handle compartment inside the handle and proximate the second end. A first stowage compartment is located on the first end of the handle. A first weight affixes to the first stowage compartment and creates a seal to close the first stowage compartment. A second weight affixes to the second stowage compartment and creates a seal to close the second stowage compartment. The handle and compartments together as a whole have the profile of a dumbbell weight. The multi-function hand weight is useful for discreetly carrying pet supplies.
Stretching device and methods relating to same
A stretching device comprising an elongated band having a first end and a second end, a first handle coupled to the band proximate the first end, a second handle coupled to the band proximate the second end, and a boot coupled to the band between the first end and the second end, the boot adapted to engage with a body part of a person, horse, or other animal.
Wearable modular resistance unit
Disclosed is a muscle toning garment with resistance elements, which may be fluid filled dampers. The garment provides resistance to movement throughout an angular range of motion. The garment may be low profile, and worn by a wearer as a primary garment or beneath conventional clothing. Toning may thereby be accomplished throughout the wearer's normal daily activities, without the need for access to conventional exercise equipment. Alternatively, the device may be worn as a supplemental training tool during conventional training techniques. Sensors may be provided for sensing any of a variety of biometric parameters and for determining exerted power or calories consumed.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING TOY BALLS FOR PETS
The invention relates to the method of producing toy balls for pets, including: manufacturing distorted sphere balls with an opening in the distorted area using injection molding; sealing the opening of the distorted sphere balls to form uni-body sphere-shaped balls. The material used in the production of these toys can be rubber, thermoplastic elastomers, or thermoplastic rubber. This method allows to manufacture toy balls with no detached parts in the case of broken joints when the balls are chewed or torn apart by the pets. Thus, the invention can help to keep the pets from endangering themselves by swallowing detached parts of pet toy balls.
Exercise equipment
An exercise equipment exercise equipment that can readily switch arrangement of a person exercise apparatus and a dog exercise apparatus between the state where a person and a dog run facing each other and/or the state where the person and the dog run side by side. The person exercise apparatus includes a frame, a crank mechanism having a crank shaft rotatably supported by the frame, a crank coupled to the crank shaft, and a pedal rotatably supported by the crank, and a joint rotatingly driven by the crank mechanism. An annular travelling belt travels with a dog, a roller drives the travelling belt, and a transmission mechanism transmits rotational motion of the joint to the roller An input shaft is aligned with a rotary shaft of the joint with respect to a mounting face of the exercise equipment. A coupling mechanisms is detachably engageable with the joint at each end.
Process of Making Hollow Products, Especially Toys or Pet Products, and Hollow Products Made with the Process
In the process of making a hollow product, especially a deformable toy ball, two halves made from on elastomeric material, a thermoplastic material, rubber, a blend of rubbers, or a thermoplastic elastomer are formed by injection molding with mating edges that engage with each other when the halves are assembled to form the product. The edge of one of the two halves is advantageously formed with a recess centered in the edge, in which a flange formed on the edge of the other of the two halves engages to provide a form-fitting connection between the two halves. The opposing edges are then bonded with each other by fusion or melting or by an adhesive applied to at least one of the edges prior to assembling the halves together. A deformable ball produced by the process is also described.
Toy with Mechanically Locked Inner Capsule
A hollow, compressible or rigid hollow body has mechanical means of retaining devices such as sound generators, scent capsules, LED lights and vibrating mechanisms and identifying or responding detection elements held, secured and locked therein without the use of any solvents, glues, sonic welding, spin welding or other bonding materials. The hollow contaminant-free bodies are particularly useful for animals and recreation. Some of the above contain carcinogens harmful to animals if ingested.
Treadmill with Guides that Assist in Performing Physical Therapy
A rehabilitation system used to assist a person improve walking skills while walking on a treadmill. A treadmill is provided that has a moving belt track. A framework is provided having frame elements that extend over the belt track of the treadmill. Foot guide rails are suspended from the frame elements that extend over the belt track of the treadmill. The foot guide rails define two foot channels above the belt track that guide a user's feet when they walk on the treadmill. Guide pads are supported by the framework. The guide pads inhibit a user from falling while walking on the treadmill. The guide pads also can be adjusted to provide tactile indications of when a person is walking in an abnormal manner.
