A method for automatic joint packaging of at least a first part and a second part, the first part and the second part having different geometries, is provided. The method includes automatically placing a first part on a transport surface with a front side facing in a transport direction and automatically placing a second part on the transport surface with the second part in front of the first part relative to the transport direction. The method further includes automatically transporting the first part and the second part along the transport surface to a packaging device by moving a pushing device into engagement with a rear side of the first part and pushing the first part in the transport direction, wherein the second part is taken along by the front side of the first part pushed by the pushing device.

A method and system reprocess soiled animal bedding material commingled with animal manure. In one aspect the soiled animal bedding material is separated in a shaker to send at least a preponderance of the manure to a holding tank. In another aspect the bedding is cleaned, rinsed and color is restored. The bedding material is subsequently dried and a bedding product, fertilizer product, and/or compacted product is formed. Alternatively, said bedding material is dried (without a compacting step) to form a product. In yet another aspect, the steps of separation, cleaning, rinsing and/or color restoration may be omitted.

A packaging machine with a bottom-supporting device, which intermittently moves a packaging bag to each one of packaging stations where each packaging process is performed, fills the packaging bag with an object to be packaged, and seals a bag mouth. The bottom-supporting device capable of supporting a bottom of the packaging bag is configured to be present in all the packaging stations. The bottom-supporting device includes a bottom support which supports the bottom of the packaging bag, an elevator that raises and lowers the bottom of the packaging bag, and a pneumatic drive unit which controls the raising and lowering of the bottom support by the elevator and vibration of the bottom support.

A packaging and container system addresses the different needs for packaging bananas, transporting the bananas, and displaying the bananas for sale, all in the same container. The system uses a box or box frame, and at least one perimeter wall that is an independent piece. A film (e.g. plastic sheet) is used to suspend the bananas inside the box during transport to prevent or reduce friction or rubbing between bananas and between the bananas and the sides of the container. Once packed, the box can rotated to its transport position where the bananas are suspended within the film inside the container. Once at the retail location, the container can again be laid on a side and a perimeter wall removed to expose and display the bananas.

The invention concerns a bread slicer with an input compartment (1) for a loaf of bread (2) and a set of blades (5) designed for cutting a loaf of bread (2) and cooperating with a push block (7) which enables the loaf (2) to be pushed through the set of blades (5) to an output table (8). The invention is characterized in that the output table (8) has a bag holder for keeping open a packing bag (10) with the opening (11) facing the set of blades (5), the push block (7) being arranged to push at least a part of the sliced loaf (2) so as to introduce it at least partially in the packing bag (10).

Banknote processing equipment is disclosed, which comprises a chamber having an open end for insertion of a bag into the chamber and an extractor adapted to establish a lower ambient pressure between the chamber and the bag to that within the bag to cause the bag to expand into an open configuration during a banknote filling operation, whereby the banknote processing equipment can deposit banknotes in the bag.

A plural-mode automatic medicament packaging system. In embodiments, the system may include an automatic dispensing machine including an automatic medicament dispensing unit and may further include pouch packaging and blister package packaging units. Medicaments output from the medicament dispensing unit may be packaged in a pouch package by the pouch packaging unit. A single automatic medicament packaging system can package medicaments in different types of packaging providing a pharmacy with the opportunity to package medicaments in the form of packaging most appropriate to meet patient needs.
