Apparatus and methods for loading product into cases

Product can be conveyed on a divider conveyor (16) in the same orientation or perpendicular to the orientation as when transferred from an input conveyor (12) as well as at different locations in the pack pattern to be cased by moving the divider conveyor (16) perpendicular to the conveying direction and/or by varying the conveying speed of the divider conveyor (16). The divider conveyor (16) transfers product onto an upper containment plate (40) moveable to an inoperative position to transfer product to a lower containment plate (36) moveable to an inoperative position to transfer product to a table (28). Product can be compressed between the table (28) and the upper containment plate (40) and can be pushed by a loader plate (32) into a case when the table (28) is in its lower position.

The sheet storage apparatus of the present disclosure includes an attachment unit to which a storing bag for sheets is attached; a holding unit that holds the sheets toward an inner side in a storage direction of the storing bag attached to the attachment unit, the sheets being stacked and stored in the storing bag; and a closing unit that closes an entrance of the storing bag by sandwiching the storing bag from outside thereof. The closing unit closes the entrance by moving from a first position to a second position, the first position being a position before the closing unit starts sandwiching the storing bag, the second position being a position when the closing unit sandwiches the storing bag. The closing unit passes through the inner side in the storage direction than the first position between moving from the first position to the second position.

A boxing device has a box-moving section that moves a box with flaps from a supply position to a boxing position; a flap support section; and a pushing section. At the boxing position, articles are boxed in the box's opening. The flap support section supports the flaps. A pushing section pushes a group of side-by-side aligned articles into the box in the boxing position. Before the pushing section pushes the articles into the box, the box-moving section moves the box so that the box changes from a first orientation, in which the opening of the box faces sideways in the box supply position, to a second orientation, in which the opening of the box faces upwards in the boxing position. The flap support section supports the flaps as the box is moved from the first orientation to the second orientation.

Systems and methods for providing singulation of objects for processing using object movement redistribution

A processing system including a singulation system is disclosed. The singulation system includes a conveying system for moving objects to be processed from a source area along a first direction, a detection system for detecting objects at the conveying system, and for selecting certain selected objects for redistribution on the conveying system, and a movement redistribution system for redistributing the certain selected objects on the conveying system for providing a singulated stream of objects.
