Hockey-stick blade with tailored performance regions

A hockey-stick blade includes a heel region, a toe region spaced longitudinally from the heel region, and a mid-region located between the heel region and the toe region. The toe region includes one or more reinforcing elements, optionally of different lengths, located at different vertical positions within the toe region. The blade further includes a hosel that optionally is tailored to substantially match the strength and stiffness characteristics of an attached or integral hockey stick shaft. The mid-region of the blade exhibits improved feel and flexibility characteristics due to the increased stiffness in the toe region.

CG height adjustability by conformal crown weighting

A golf club head comprising a crown with an edge support structure and a flexible, conformal weight sized to fit within the edge support structure is disclosed herein. The edge support structure preferably is disposed on an internal surface of the crown so that the conformal weight is invisible when the golf club head is viewed at address. The conformal weight can be removed to adjust the vertical center of gravity of the club head, and preferably is oriented in a front-to-back direction along the club head's X-axis. The conformal weight preferably is composed of a high-density polymeric material with a specific gravity ranging from 1.8 to 4.2.

Information processing device and information processing method

An information processing device includes: a displacement information acquisition unit that acquires displacement information corresponding to 3-dimensional displacement of a predetermined portion of an object that a user mounts in accordance with a body motion on the basis of positional information of the predetermined portion and an output control unit that performs control such that an output unit performs a predetermined output on the basis of the acquired displacement information. The object has, for example, a seatback on which a user can sit. The displacement information acquisition unit acquires a change in a position in at least one of front and rear directions, right and left directions, or upward and downward directions of a seatback.

A golf club head is formed by joining various parts to a head shell made of metal and having a hollow structure. The head shell has a region where a face and a sole are continuous with each other, thereby forming a leading edge between the face and the sole. The sole of the head shell is provided with a concave slot along the leading edge. The slot is configured to bend in a target direction upon hitting a ball with the face. A reinforcing member made of fiber reinforced plastic configured to apply a resistance to bending of the slot is attached in the slot. The slot has a thickness of, for example, about 0.8 mm to 1.3 mm and has a cross-sectional shape forming a parabola. The reinforcing member has a thickness of, for example, about 10% to 20% of the width of the slot in the target direction.

A reformer exercise apparatus is disclosed that has a generally rectangular frame, a carriage movably supported on the frame, and a foot support member supported by the side rail portions of the frame. The foot support member has an inverted U shape carbon fiber tube having ends each fixed to a foot bar support member having a cylindrical base, a cylindrical post welded to the base, and a foot bar support arm welded to one end of the cylindrical base, for connection to a foot support assembly operable to selectively position the foot support member at various positions along the side rail portions of the frame.

GOLF CLUB HEAD HAVING A COMPOSITE FACE

A golf club includes a face coupled to a body. A composite axis extends from a heel to a toe of the club and parallel to ground. The face is formed of a fiber composite material including at least first and second sets of ply arrangements. Each of the ply arrangements includes a pair of plies having first and second pluralities of fibers defining first and second angles with respect to the composite axis, respectively. The face has a ball contact surface, an rear surface, and a mid-zone positioned equidistant between the contact and rear surfaces. A majority of the first and second pluralities of fibers of the ply arrangements between the mid-zone and the contact surface are formed of glass fibers, and a majority of the first and second pluralities of ply arrangements between the mid-zone and the rear surface are formed of carbon fibers.
