A pickleball paddle. The paddle includes a ball striking portion, or head, and a handle. A first planar face resides on a first side of the head, and a second planar face resides on a second side of the head opposite the first side. The paddle also includes a transition portion comprising a frame. In one aspect, the frame comprises two members that extend into the handle, and that also extend up to the head and form a hoop around the head. Preferably, the frame forms an open throat at the transition section, between the two frame members. The first planar face has a control response and a power response, while the second planar face also has a control response and a power response. In one arrangement, the control response of the first face is greater than the control response of the second face.

Quick slide handle assembly for cable exercise equipment

An exercise cable handle assembly is disclosed comprising a locking mechanism including a handle base and a flexible retaining clip. The handle base comprises a cable opening and two side clamps defining a locking channel. The two side clamps comprise gradated edges. The flexible retaining clip is U shaped and comprises at least one curved hook end configured to engage with the gradated edge when the flexible retaining clip is positioned in the locking channel. The exercise cable handle assembly further comprises a segment of an exercise cable comprising a tapered plug along the segment of cable and a handle frame coupled to the handle base. The locking mechanism secures the segment of the exercise cable to the handle base when a portion of the tapered plug is positioned in the cable opening and the flexible retaining clip partially surrounds the tapered plug when positioned in the locking channel.

A layered strap-like apparatus for exercising, stretching and training multiple muscle groups of the entire body of a user. The apparatus is adapted to be worn about the waist or carried as a bandolier about the user's body. The apparatus has an optional, releasably closable pocket between the layers for securing and carrying accessories, such as attachable handles and elastic bands. The apparatus and methods of use provide the user with balanced loading options and the flexibility to exercise anywhere.

Adjustable dumbbell system

An adjustable dumbbell system may include a base, two or more weights, a handle assembly, an additional weight, and selection assembly. The two or more weights may be supported by the base and grouped into a first set of weights associated with one end of the dumbbell system and a second set of weights associated with an opposing end of the dumbbell system. The handle assembly may be selectively fixedly joined to the first and second set of weights. The additional weight may be disposed distally of the handle assembly. The selection assembly may be secured to the additional weight. The selection assembly may include a selection member that may be linearly moveable between a selected position where the additional weight is operatively secured to the handle assembly and an unselected position where the additional weight is disengaged from the handle assembly.

Contrast-enhanced golf club heads

Golf club heads include white diffusing top surfaces to aid in club head alignment. Wood type club heads also include a dark diffusing club face so that a crown/face border is emphasized. Scorelines in wood type clubs can be provided with an intermediate contrast surface, and can be displaced from club face center to accommodate player perception when confronted with a white diffusing crown. Putter heads can include dark diffusing alignment lines, and iron-type club heads can include white diffusing surfaces at a sole portion of a club face, at a top line, or a top portion of a club face.

Golf club head or other ball striking device having impact-influencing body features

A ball striking device, such as a golf club head, has a face with a striking surface configured for striking a ball and a channel extending across a portion of the sole. The channel may be recessed from adjacent surfaces of the sole and have a depth of recession from the adjacent surfaces of the sole, wherein the channel comprises a center portion extending across a center of the sole, a heel portion extending from a heel end of the center portion toward the heel, and a toe portion extending from a toe end of the center portion toward the toe, wherein the width and the depth of the center portion of the channel are substantially constant, and wherein the depth of the channel is greater at the heel and toe portions than at the center portion.

Golf club heads

Some disclosed golf club heads include body having at least one raised sole portion and a cantilevered ledge extending down around a perimeter of the club head below the level of the raised sole portion. Some disclosed golf club heads include one or more sole openings in the body and a sole insert that is mounted inside the body over the sole openings. The sole can include weight tracks as well, and a rear weight track can extend between a toe side sole opening and a heel side sole opening. A crown insert can also be included that is mounted over an upper opening in the body.

Diameter profiled golf club shaft to reduce drag

A golf club includes a golf club head, a shaft adapter secured within a hosel of the golf club head, and a shaft secured within the shaft adapter. The golf club shaft is formed from a fiber reinforced polymer and extends along a longitudinal axis between a tip end and a grip end. The golf club shaft includes a tip end section, a grip end section, and a tapered section between the tip end section and the grip end section. The tapered section of the shaft includes a reference portion within the upper half that has a frustoconical shape with a near-constant taper rate, and a narrowed portion within the lower half.
