The present disclosure relates to a tray sealing machine and, in addition, to a method for gently picking-up trays and for gently depositing sealed packages.

The film transport apparatus includes: a film holding unit configured to hold a long-length film; and a film cutting unit configured to cut out the film, in which the film holding unit holds the plurality of films, and the film transport apparatus further includes: a temporary holding unit configured to include a plurality of temporary holding mechanisms that temporally hold the films between the film holding unit and the film cutting unit; and a first transport arm configured to select and pull out one film from the plurality of films which are held in the temporary holding unit.

The present invention relates to a device for forwarding a web of closure blanks. The device preferably comprises a closure blank support comprising two parallel support surfaces each extending horizontally from a proximal end to a distal end with a distance in-between and each being moveable in a first direction with a first velocity, and a feeding device adapted to feed an unbroken web of individual closure blanks onto the closure blank support at the proximal end thereof with the rims of the web in contact with the support surfaces and with a feed speed substantially equal to said first velocity.

A child and bite resistant package having a tray and a plurality of spaced apart cavities that are formed therein is provided. A sheet material overlies the tray such that a product disposed in a cavity is enclosed and sealed therein. The sheet material includes a plurality of zones of weakening that are each disposed above a corresponding cavity. Each of the zones of weakening is formed by a plurality of microperforations that are formed in the sheet material. To access a product, the product is pushed against the lidding in the zone of weakness with sufficient force to rupture the lidding. Since the majority of the surface area above each compartment is non-rupturable, the compartments are difficult to access by a child by either hand manipulation or biting.

The invention relates to a tray sealer comprising a gripper device with two gripper arms, a supply device for unsealed trays, a removal device for sealed trays and a sealing device. Each gripper arm can comprise a coupling device that is configured to hold a first tray gripper for supplying trays into the sealing device and a second tray gripper for removing trays from the sealing device.
