The present invention relates to a packing system including a transporting device, an erecting device, and a guiding device. The packing system is configured to reduce the number of a packing process and to simplify the packing process, thereby improving production efficiency, compared with a conventional system. The packing system is configured to minimize wrinkling of a packing material and to adjust position of ends of the packing material in a way that the packing material is always supplied to a predetermined position, thereby reducing a failure rate of a packed product. It is possible to pack various sizes of packing target objects using a single system.

A system for packaging includes a continuous flow wrap machine, a product reader, and a labeling unit. The product reader is configured to sense each product of the series of products transported on the infeed conveyor of the continuous flow wrap machine and to provide detected information for facilitating access to unique product information associated with each sensed product of the series of products. The labeling unit is adapted to apply visual representation of the unique product information to the tube formed in the continuous flow wrap machine while the tube is moving or to the resulting packaged product while the packaged product is moving.

Packaging machine that can produce and fill bags, both flat and welded on three sides, with minimum demands for machine modifications in case of transition from producing and filling one type of bag to producing and filling another type of bag.

A first film can be conveyed through a horizontal form-fill-seal machine that contains tooling stations in which bottom sealer bars are positioned in different tooling stations relative to side sealer bars. The first film can be processed by the machine to form a first pouch. After the first pouch is formed, a vertical height of one or more of the side sealer bars and/or one or more of the bottom sealer bars can be selectively adjusted. The same bottom and side sealer bars remain in the machine during the selective adjusting of the vertical height. After the selective adjusting of the vertical height of the component, a second film can be conveyed through the horizontal form-fill-seal machine. The second film can be processed by the machine to form a second pouch having at least one dimension that is different than the first pouch.

A horizontal forming device, in particular for horizontal flow pack machines, comprises at least one, in particular roller-free, forming unit (12a12d), in particular a forming shoulder, which is configured for forming a packaging material web (14a), in particular a paper web, into a packaging material tube (16a), the forming unit (12a-12d) comprising at least one folding edge (72a-72d) around which the packaging material web (14a) is deflectable, and comprises at least one form-guiding unit (18a-18d), in particular a further forming shoulder, which is configured for further guiding the packaging material tube (16a) transversely to a run-in direction (20a20d) of the packaging material web (14a) at the forming unit (12a-12d) while maintaining an, in particular homogeneous, material tension generated by the forming unit (12a12d), wherein the horizontal forming device comprises at least one support surface (22a), in particular a work plate, on which products (24a) that are to be packaged can be transported, the forming unit (12a-12d) and the form-guiding unit (18a-18d) being arranged on sides (26a-26d, 28a-28d) of the support surface (22a) that face away from each other, wherein the form-guiding unit (18a-18d) comprises at least one form-guiding contour (86a-86d), which is configured to support the guided packaging material tube (16a) in order to implement a maintaining of the homogeneous material tension.

The horizontal packaging apparatus comprises: a conveying line of products along a conveying direction; infeeding means of a continuous sheet; a forming device mounted on a support surface and comprising folding means for folding the continuous sheet to form a tubular wrapping; advancement means of the continuous sheet configured to advance the continuous sheet along an advancement direction concordant with the conveying direction of the products; pulling means arranged consecutively to the outfeed section of the forming device to bilaterally abut the facing end flaps of the lower portions of the tubular wrapping folded back beneath the products and advance the tubular wrapping wrapped around the products beyond the forming device. The reciprocal position between the support surface of the forming device and the pulling means is adjustable and variable to vary and adjust a distance between the outfeed section of the forming device and the pulling means.
