Detection device for the use in a bag filling plant
A bag filling plant includes a detection device for detecting a thickened section of a film web associated with an end of a first film and a start of a second film. The detection device includes a first film roll and a second film roll, which contact the film web on side areas aligned opposite each other and which form a conveyer gap for the film web, with the first film roll being movably supported relative to the second film roll in order to alter the conveyer gap. The detection device includes a sensor device that detects a motion of the first conveyer roll.

METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING A FOLDABLY CONSTRUCTED PALLET
A method of assembling a pallet using a machine includes folding a first portion of a pallet support column to define a vertical support structure. The method further includes folding a second portion of the pallet support column to engage the vertical support structure. The method further includes gluing at least a portion of the second portion to the first portion. The method further includes coupling the pallet support column to at least one of a bottom member or a top member of the pallet.
PACKAGING PROCESS AND APPARATUS
An apparatus and process for packaging a product, such as a waste product, in a sealed tubular plastic container involves providing a source of a sheet of a plastic film and moving a portion of the film away from the source and about an open-ended, vertically-extending tubular pipe. The film is then moved toward an open top end of the pipe to form a second portion of the film into a tubular form around the pipe with the second widthwise end potions overlapping each other. The overlapping portions are sealed and the tubular form of the film is moved into an open top end of the pipe, so that the interior of the tube, formed by the film is open at the top of the pipe to receive the product. The product may then be transported downwardly through the tube, which is then sealed above and below the encapsulated product.

Bag wall, bag tube and bag produced therefrom and method for producing them
A bag wall is designed for producing a bag open on a top side by means of at least a connection seam and for closing said bag by means of at least one further connecting seam after being filled with bulk material and is characterized by at least one Kraft paper layer forming a Kraft paper core (1) and essentially determining the load capacity of the bag which core (1) is provided with fine openings (2) in two-dimensional regions covering at least half of the surface of said core (1) and is directly coated on both sides with a plastic layer (3, 4) each wherein both plastic layers consist of plastic material being miscible in liquid states and wherein the plastic layers (3, 4) are connected to each other by material fit through said openings (2) during the coating.
Method for packaging of an article of merchandise
The present disclosure provides a method for packaging an article of merchandise with a film material using a packaging apparatus. The film is a side-pleated tubular film roll. An input device receives the sole film packaging parameters of the thickness of the film, the width of the film, and the distance between a first side fold and a second side fold of the film. Based on these three film packaging parameters, a controller determines a specified length of the tubular film for packaging the article, and the packaging apparatus cuts off a segment of the tubular film having that specified length. The packaging apparatus then draws the segment of tubular film over the article being packaged.

Machine for the wrapping of pallets
A machine for the wrapping of pallets (P) by means of a stretchable film cap, comprising: a main frame (1) which defines a working area (A) of the machine; a traction device (2), predisposed for lowering the film cap and for fitting it onto the pallet (P); a feeder device (3) arranged to feed the film to the traction device (2); a cutting and welding device (4) of the film, arranged to cut and weld the film so as to obtain a cap closed at one end thereof; in which the feeder device (3) is movable along the frame (1) between an operating position, located superiorly to the main frame (1), and a service position, in which said feeder device is located at a given height from the ground, on one side of the main frame (1). The feeder device (3) is movable on an outside area of the main frame (1) and, when switching from the operating position to the service position, the feeder device (3) is maintained externally of the main frame (1), without cluttering the working area (A).
PACKAGING APPARATUSES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
A packaging apparatus comprising a base surface, in turn comprising a first end and a second end is disclosed. The packaging apparatus further comprises a feed tube between the first end and the second end of the base surface, a transporter between the first end of the base surface and the feed tube, a first sealer between the feed tube and the second end of the base surface, and a second sealer between the first sealer and the second end of the base surface.
