A machine for stabilising palletised loads including an apparatus having a reel of covering tape, a gripping device to take a first end of the tape of the reel and make it integral with the load, a first movement apparatus to generate relative revolution of the apparatus around the load about a predetermined revolution axis, a second movement apparatus to generate relative translation motion of the apparatus with respect to the load in a direction parallel to the revolution direction, a cutting device placed in the apparatus to separate the tape from the reel, and a fixing device to fix a second end of the tape to the load. The apparatus also includes a tensioning fin configured to rotate around an articulation axis parallel to the reel axis and having a rectilinear end border, distal of and extending parallel to the articulation axis and configured to stay in contact with a longitudinal edge of the tape unwinding from the reel, and a spring acting on the fin to push the end border against the longitudinal edge of the tape.
Stretch wrapping machine with automated determination of load stability by subjecting a load to a disturbance
A method, apparatus and program product may determine load stability for a load to be wrapped based upon sensing the response or reaction of the load to a disturbance applied to the load, e.g., through intentionally moving, shaking, tilting, pushing, impacting or otherwise applying an input force to the load and sensing the response using one or more sensors. The sensed response may then be used to determine a load stability parameter that may be used in the control of a load wrapping apparatus when wrapping the load.
Packaging material evaluation and apparatus therefor incorporating split take up drum and/or specific containment force measurement
A method, apparatus and program product may evaluate a packaging material to determine various metrics associated with the packaging material. A test apparatus may be used to evaluate packaging material using a take up drum capable of sensing containment force imparted upon the drum by packaging material applied thereto, and in some instances, simulated flaws may be formed in a web of packaging material to evaluate a packaging materials response to such flaws when under tension.
Backlight source packaging device
A backlight source packaging device is provided in the present disclosure, which belongs to the technical field of displays. The backlight source packaging device includes a bracket, a feeding mechanism, a cleaning mechanism, a cutting mechanism and a rotating mechanism, where the feeding mechanism is fixed to the bracket, which is configured to arrange a winding film; the cleaning mechanism is fixed to the bracket, which is configured to clean the winding film; the cutting mechanism is fixed to the bracket, which is configured to cut the winding film; the rotating mechanism is fixed to the bracket, which is configured to drive the backlight source to rotate so that the winding film winds around the backlight source, where the winding film can reach the rotating mechanism from the feeding mechanism successively through the cleaning mechanism and the cutting mechanism.
SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND APPARATUS FOR CREATING AN ENCLOSURE, A REGULATED ATMOSPHERE, AND FUNCTIONAL TREATMENTS FOR PERISHABLE PRODUCTS
Systems, methods, and apparatuses for creating a modified atmosphere in a sealed enclosure. The systems, methods, and apparatuses may include an injector, a top sheet dispenser, a bottom sheet dispenser, and pallet wrapper. The top sheet, bottom sheet, and wrap sheet form the sealed enclosure. The injector may create a modified atmosphere in the sealed enclosure. The injector may include a stabilizing support bar and at least one nozzle formed at a right angle to the stabilizing support bar. The nozzle may be connected to a gas source for injecting at least one gas into the sealed enclosure. The nozzle may be connected to a vacuum source to remove air from the sealed enclosure. The system includes the use of modified atmosphere and various functional substances to sanitize, protect, preserve, or enhance perishable products.
PALLET WRAPPER AND IMAGING SYSTEM
A pallet wrapper and imaging system a pallet loaded with containers to calculate a sustainability based upon a type of the pallet and the containers on the pallet. The system also determines the stability of the pallet and containers, a speed at which the pallet and containers can be wrapped, and an amount of stretch film needed to secure the load for transport. After validation by the imaging system (with or without a wrapper), a QC bot assists a QC worker in remedying or checking any detected errors or potential errors.
MACHINE FOR STABILISING PALLETISED LOADS WITH REEL CHANGE SYSTEM
A machine for stabilising palletised loads includes a functional arrangement, a first movement apparatus generating relative motion about a revolution axis around the palletised load, a second movement apparatus generating relative translation motion of the functional arrangement with respect to the palletised load in a direction parallel to the revolution axis. The functional arrangement includes a support shaft, a motorised drive roller, a contrast roller, and actuator members to create relative movement between the drive roller and the contrast roller in transversal direction with respect to the respective rotation axes between a distanced configuration, in which a gap is defined between the drive roller and the contrast roller to be crossed with clearance by the covering tape unwinding from the reel, and a neared configuration, in which the drive and contrast rollers clamp the covering tape, wherein the support shaft and the contrast and/or drive rollers are mounted on the functional arrangement and oriented in the same direction.
INTELLIGENT SYSTEMS FOR OPTIMIZING STRETCH WRAPPER OPERATION AND STRETCH FILM USAGE
A system includes a wrapping machine for dispensing film to wrap a load disposed on a pallet, a plurality of sensors configured to detect operation of the machine, and a controller operably and communicatively connected with the sensors. The controller is configured to establish desired values of operating parameters of the machine, the parameters including a wrap pattern, weight of the film, a number of revolutions, a percent of stretch of the film, and a tension of film, during operation of the machine, monitor actual values of the operating parameters using data from the sensors, and in response to a difference between the desired values and the actual values being greater than a threshold, issue a command to adjust operation of the machine such that the difference is less than the threshold.
CONTAINMENT FORCE-BASED WRAPPING
Control of a wrapping apparatus is facilitated by enabling an operator to input a load containment force requirement and/or a minimum number of layers of packaging material to be applied to a load, with a wrap control system automatically determining wrap force and other parameters required to meet user input requirements and/or parameters to minimize the expertise required of an operator and to provide more consistent and reliable wrapping of loads. In addition, a wrapping apparatus may be controlled to apply at least a minimum number of layers of packaging material to a load throughout a contiguous region thereof.
PACKAGING MATERIAL GRADING AND/OR FACTORY PROFILES
Control of a load wrapping apparatus may be based at least in part on packaging material grading and/or factory profiles.
