Sporting equipment mount
A device to easily mount and hold hockey sticks to a vertical structure, such as a wall. One embodiment includes a vulcanized rubber or EPDM body portion that can be attached to a wall. The body portion has a front recess that receives the shaft of a hockey stick and grips and holds the stick in place. The device can accommodate standard hockey stick shaft widths, and enables easy insertion and removal of hockey sticks.
Multistructural shock absorbing system for anatomical cushioning
A shock absorbing system for force attenuation, impact modification or reduction, employs an envelope having a chamber containing a first working fluid, the envelope deformable in response to the impulse to attenuate impact force. A plurality of resilient supplemental absorber elements dispersed within the chamber. The plurality of resilient supplemental absorber elements are deformable in response to the force to assist in attenuating impact force and provide additional resilient restoring force to return the envelope to a pre-impact shape. In alternative implementations, a unitary cell for energy dissipation employs an envelope having a chamber containing a first working fluid and an inner element contained within the chamber and having an inner chamber containing a second working fluid.
HOCKEY BLADE PROTECTION SLEEVE
A hockey stick blade cover comprises a viscoelastic sleeve that may be coupled to a hockey stick blade, wherein a friction force between the viscoelastic sleeve and the hockey stick blade retains the viscoelastic sleeve on the blade. The viscoelastic sleeve comprises a self-healing material. In some embodiments, the sleeve comprises a vitrimer elastomer. In some embodiments, the sleeve comprises a composite material, such as including one or more selected from a group of natural fibers, synthetic fiber, boron nitride nanotubes, carbon nanotubes, and graphene. The hockey stick blade cover is typically attached to the hockey stick blade by expanding the viscoelastic sleeve, sliding the expanded viscoelastic sleeve over the blade, from the toe of the blade toward the heel of the blade, and then releasing the viscoelastic sleeve, thereby allowing the viscoelastic sleeve to contract. A pre-taped hockey stick comprises a viscoelastic wrap that is pre-coupled to the blade.
BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL HITTING TRAINING DEVICE
The present invention is a baseball and softball hitting training device that prevents early arm extension, early wrist release, swinging the bat from the outside to the inside, throwing the back shoulder toward the plate, or otherwise casting the hands during a swing. The device comprises a support block with one or more grooves, a horizontal bar mounted perpendicular to the support block, a flag indicator connected perpendicular to the horizontal bar, and one or more attachment straps.
Adjustable hardness punching bag
A variable hardness punching bag is disclosed herein. The punching bag comprises a core having a first hardness profile; and at least one auxiliary shell attachable to the core, wherein the at least one auxiliary shell has a second hardness profile different to the first hardness profile. The auxiliary shells include a punching shell and a kicking shell, wherein the punching shell is denser and harder relative to the kicking shell. The punching and kicking shells include attachment straps for facilitating attachment to the core.
Hockey faceoff training device with dual-purpose support posts, retractable grip spikes, inline spring joint and gripping cavities
A hockey faceoff training device has a base for placement on a playing surface, support posts standing upright from the base for placement of disc weights thereover into stacked condition atop the base for weighted anchoring thereof on the playing surface, a connector removably attached to top ends of the posts, and an impact member coupled to said connector via a moveable joint from which the impact members extends downwardly toward the playing surface in a default position. The movable joint comprises a coil spring situated inline with a proximal end of the impact member to bias the impact member into the default position. The base has deployable and retractable spikes to better grip the playing surface. The topside of the base comprises recessed access cavities to accommodate a user's fingers during placement or removal of the disc weights onto or from the base.
THERMOSENSITIVE MOUTH SHIELD
Provided is a mouth guard having an outer layer and inner layer and a foam insert layer configured to absorb impact forces. The insert layer is softer than and thicker than the outer layer and inner layer to provide increased force absorption. The outer layer includes a thermos-chromic material that changes color and transparency to provide indication of temperature inside of a user's mouth.
HYBRID FITNESS LADDER
A hybrid fitness ladder including at plurality of rung units, along with a rung unit for such a ladder, are described. Each one rung unit includes a plurality of elevated rails as well as a plurality of ground rails, wherein each ground rail is integrated or connected to at least one elevated rail. The hybrid fitness ladder may further include at least one rung unit connector configured to removably attach one rung unit to another rung unit in positions where the elevated rails are positioned as ladder rungs, in positions where the ground rails are positioned as ladder rungs, or a combination of the two. The elevated rails and ground rails may be made of a semi-flexible material that is deformable and biased toward a first configuration.
Sports ball rebound and boundary system
A sports ball rebound and boundary system including at least one portable post portion, configured to in use stand upright unsupported, and a barrier portion. The post portion and the barrier portion are configured for mutual releasable connection so that at least part of the barrier portion is extendible from the post portion to form a substantially vertically aligned planar barrier extending upwards from substantially ground level. The barrier portion is further configured to in use remain under sufficient tension to cause a ball or similar to rebound when striking the barrier.
Net holder and device for mounting the net holder
A net holder for a basketball net, comprising a closed hoop, a net, an insert ring open in one portion arranged circumferentially in the hoop, wherein the insert ring can be inserted in the inner circumference of the hoop, wherein the open portion of the insert ring is angled with its ends so that two pins oriented in the same direction from the plane of the insert ring protrude from same and are connected in turn to one another by a crosspiece with a fixed and a releasable bearing for the pins, wherein a snap lock is arranged in the region of the releasable bearing for the pin and can be latched into the crosspiece by using a tappet to block the releasable bearing.
