Exercise apparatus and method
An apparatus including an elongated foam piece first and second ends; and a suction cup attached to the elongated foam piece at the first end. The elongated foam piece may be a cylindrical foam piece. The suction cup is typically removably attached to the elongated foam piece. The apparatus may further include a plate to which the suction cup is removably attached. The plate typically has an outer diameter larger than an outer diameter of the suction cup. The apparatus may include a weight attached to the plate, underneath the plate, opposite from where the suction cup is removably attached to the plate. A plurality of such apparatuses, spaced apart from each other, may be attached to a surface by suction; and a plurality of exercises using each of the plurality of apparatuses may be performed, such as by contacting or weaving in and out of the apparatuses.
PORTABLE DEVICES FOR EXERCISING MUSCLES IN THE ANKLE, FOOT, AND/OR LEG, AND RELATED METHODS
A method for exercising muscles in an ankle, foot, and/or leg of a user includes positioning a foot of a user onto a first body of an exercise device. The first body is spaced away from a second body of the device and pivotably connected to the second body of the device at a pivot axis. The pivot axis is adjacent to a central portion of the first body. The method includes rotating the first body about the pivot axis, with the foot, against a first resistive force. Rotating the first body includes subjecting the foot to a first motion. The method includes positioning the foot onto the second body. The method includes rotating the second body about the pivot axis, with the foot, against a second resistive force. Rotating the second body includes subjecting the foot to a second motion, the second motion being different than the first motion.
Customizable Grips for Golf Clubs and Baseball Bats
The disclosure provides example apparatus and methods for personalizing a grip of an implement. The apparatus includes: (a) a base layer having a first side and a second side, (b) a middle layer having a first side and a second side, where the first side of the middle layer is coupled to the second side of the base layer, where the middle layer comprises a moldable material configured to have a compressed position that is contoured to a portion of one or more hands of a user in response to an applied pressure, where the middle layer is configured to harden in the compressed position in the presence of air, and (c) an outer layer having a first side and a second side, where the first side of the outer layer is removably coupled to the second side of the middle layer.
FITNESS DEVICE
The fitness device comprising dual retaining members in engagement with a tension member.
STRESS RELIEF OBJECT
A stress relief object provides a functional mental health toy that breaks into pieces when propelled against a surface. The stress relief object is formed as a soft, resilient body that allows the user to release his or her anger by breaking something without damaging surfaces or someone else. The stress relief object may be formed by a plurality of segments having a magnet therein to releasably retain the stress relief object in a formed condition. The segments may also be joined by an interlocking of a protrusion and a recess formed in a first joining surface and a cooperating second joining surface. Additional stress relief can be provided by reassembling the object.
Bat having at least on disc along the length of the bat barrel
An apparatus for a ball bat and a ball bat comprising at least one disc member that defines an outer diameter corresponding to an inner diameter defined by the ball bat to create a fit within close proximity between the at least one disc member and the ball bat. The at least one disc member can be located within the barrel portion of the ball bat. The at least one disc member can include at least one solid disc member that is located within a sweet spot of the ball bat. In some embodiments, the apparatus for a ball bat and the ball bat can further include an at least one insulation foam member. The at least one insulation foam member can separate the at least one disc member. The at least one insulation foam member can define a hollow center portion.
A portable exercise device includes a pedal spaced away from and pivotably connected to a base and having a neutral position relative to a pivot axis. The pedal is configured to rotate about the pivot axis in a first direction toward the base and in a second direction, opposite the first direction, toward the base. The device also includes a resistance mechanism configured to exert a force on the pedal about the pivot axis in a direction opposite to the respective direction of rotation of the pedal. The device is movable between an open, in-use configuration, where the pedal is disposed in the neutral position to receive a foot and spaced away from the base, and a closed configuration, where the pedal is adjacent the base.
TRAINING PAD
A training pad is provided including a flexible resilient shaft having a first end and a second end. A handle portion is provided adjacent the first end of the shaft and a padded member is mounted adjacent the second end of the shaft. A guard is provided having a first end connected to the first end of the shaft and a second end connected to the shaft on a side of the handle portion adjacent the padded member. The guard includes a flexible resilient member being curved between the first and second ends thereof such that the guard defines a convex outer surface supported in front of the handle portion.
