Standing surface to encourage movement

A shaped standing mat or base providing a trampoline-like rebounding surface that is a highly responsive and dynamic support surface for a standing person where that person is able to maintain a proper stance relative to their foot angle, and to engage in mild exercise movement and foot rotation and stretching without undue interruption of mental concentration in a work or other environment.

A tackle training apparatus includes a padded body member and two padded elongate leg members in which each leg member has a first end for abutting the body member and a second end for contacting the ground. The two leg members are arranged in relation to the body member to extend from and to be resiliently movable relative to and/or separable from the body member, and in one configuration where the second end of each of the two leg members is placed on the ground, the two leg members can support the body member such that the apparatus is in a standing position, provides an effective training apparatus for improvements in collisions and especially tackles in rugby. Use of the apparatus facilitates improvement in point of contact, height of approach, grip technique and grip strength.

Ball bats with reduced durability regions for deterring alteration

Representative embodiments of the present technology may include a ball bat with a handle, a barrel attached to or continuous with the handle along a longitudinal axis of the bat, and a reduced-durability region positioned in the barrel. The reduced-durability region may include two adjacent stacks of composite laminate plies, wherein the stacks are spaced apart from each other along the longitudinal axis to form a first gap therebetween. A separation ply may be positioned in the first gap between the stacks. The separation ply may include a non-woven mat material. At least one cap ply element may be positioned around an end of one of the stacks. In some embodiments, an axis of the first gap is oriented at an oblique angle relative to the longitudinal axis of the bat.

A golf putter clubhead is designed with a unique structure using a geometry and a balance technology to provide super symmetry, harmony and balance at motion and at rest. The clubhead includes a body with triangular members, a putting face, and optional holes. The triangular form clubhead does not require compensation during the swing thus allowing for greater repetition and simplicity of movement in turn producing performance benefits via consistency. The geometric triangular shape of the clubhead provides an instantly recognizable assistance in proper alignment at the rest position. The body of the clubhead may be hollow and feature inner symmetrical structures to complement the form of the body and to enhance and provide superior weight distribution and balance, thus, providing a performance edge in swing consistency and performance, and allowing for repeatability of the clubhead.

GOLF CLUB HAVING A DAMPING ELEMENT FOR BALL SPEED CONTROL

A golf club head including a striking face; a periphery portion surrounding and extending rearwards from the striking face; wherein the striking face comprises a front surface configured to strike a golf ball and a rear surface opposite the front surface; a support arm spaced from the rear surface of the striking face; wherein the support arm abuts the periphery portion at two distinct locations; a damping element residing between the support arm and the rear surface of the striking face; wherein the damping element comprises a front surface in contact with the rear surface of the striking face and a rear surface in contact with the support arm.

Garment system including at least one sensor and at least one actuator responsive to the sensor and related methods

Embodiments disclosed herein relate to a garment system including at least one sensor and at least one actuator that operates responsive to sensing feedback from the at least one sensor to cause a flexible compression garment to selectively constrict or selectively dilate, thereby compressing or relieving compression against at least one body part of a subject. Such selective constriction or dilation can improve muscle functioning or joint functioning during use of motion-conducive equipment, such as an exercise bike or rowing machine.

GOLF CLUB HEADS

Disclosed golf club heads include a weight channel positioned in the sole and defining a path along the sole. A weight member positioned in the weight channel can be adjusted to any of a range of selectable positions to adjust mass properties of the golf club head. A fastener secures the weight member in any of the selectable positions. The weight member can have ribbed weight projections on an inward-facing surface that engage ribbed projections of the weight channel when the fastener is tightened. A compressible spacer positioned between the weight member and the body inside the weight channel can expand to create a gap between the ribbed weight projections of the weight member and the ribbed projections of the weight channel when the fastener is loosened.

Golf club head and method of manufacturing same

A golf club head having a hollow structure includes a face, a sole, and a crown. The face includes a front surface and a back surface that face away from each other. The front surface is a ball-striking surface. The sole includes an abutment structure. The abutment structure includes a metallic sole fixation member fixed to the sole, an elastic member, and a metallic pin member connected to the metallic sole fixation member through the elastic member.

A protective device for a golf bag includes a panel member folded over to form a U-shape such that a first and second protective member extend from sides of a common midsection. At least one retention element is located on an inner facing surface of at least one of the first and second protective members to attach at least one of the first and second protective members to a first divider wall so as to prevent movement of the protective device relative to the golf bag. A notch on the first protective member is dimensioned to allow for an intersection of a second divider wall with the first divider wall. A cutout on the panel member enables the panel member to bend to conform to the first divider wall and any given curvature of the first divider wall.
