EXTENSIBLE PAPER LAMINATES AND THEIR USES

An extensible kraft paper laminate is disclosed that includes at least one layer of an extensible kraft paper and at least one layer of a non-extensible kraft paper and/or one or more additional layers of the extensible kraft paper. The extensible kraft paper can have a basis weight of 25-200 pounds per 3000 sq. ft. and the layers can be laminated. The extensible kraft paper laminate can have a thickness of 0.500 inches or less and can exhibit a mullen of at least 125 psi. Some non-limiting uses for these extensible kraft paper laminates can include a sleeve, a reel wrap, a slip sheet, a carrying crate, a fiber drum, a food carton, a medical carton, a box for trash, a furniture back panel, a sheathing board, a military packaging box, and/or a variety of other packaging or storage devices.

Compression ring for tying tree branches

A standing tree baling apparatus includes a main frame and a boom pivotably connected to the main frame. The boom has a first end and a second end. A boom lifter is connected between the main frame and the boom for raising and lowering the boom about a pivot joint at the first end of the boom. A rotation arm has a first arm end and a second arm end. The rotation arm is pivotably connected to the second end of the boom at the first arm end. A driver pivots the arm relative to the boom. A compression ring is sized for loosely encircling a trunk of a standing tree and adapted for forcibly moving a succession of branches of the tree non-destructively inward toward the trunk of the tree as the ring is raised about the tree to facilitate baling of the tree with rope line. The ring is connected to the second arm end.

Method of compressing tissue bundles

A method is disclosed for forming a tissue bundle from a stack of folded absorbent tissues. The method includes the steps of forming a stack of folded absorbent tissues; compressing the stack to an initial density in a first compression step; wrapping the stack a first time in a supporting wrapper to form an initial bundle and maintain the initial density; subsequently applying a second compression step to compress the stack to a final density that is higher than the initial density; and wrapping the stack a second time to form a final bundle and to maintain the final density.

TREE BRANCH BUNDLING ASSEMBLY

A tree branch bundling assembly includes a base that has a bottom side, a top side, a front side, a rear side, a first lateral side and a second lateral side. A first receiver extends upwardly from the first lateral side. A second receiver extends upwardly from the second lateral side. The first and second receivers each have an open upper side for receiving branches. A spindle is rotatably attached to the front side. A pair of spindle eyelets is attached to the spindle. A pair of receiver eyelets is attached to the base adjacent to the rear side. A first tether is attached to one spindle eyelet and one receiver eyelet. A second tether is attached to the other spindle eyelet and receiver eyelet. The first and second tethers are extendable around branches and the spindle rotated to tighten the first and second tethers around the branches.

Flat-packing machine for innerspring units

A flat-packing machine for producing a package of compressed innerspring units (10) comprises a press device having a first pressing tool (210) and a second pressing tool (220). The press device is configured to compress an innerspring unit (10) between the first pressing tool (210) and the second pressing tool (220) while one of the first pressing tool (210) and the second pressing tool (220) holds one or more further previously compressed innerspring units (10) in a compressed state.

Compressing mattresses to reduce volume without causing permanent damage

Mattresses are stacked, with support surfaces being substantially in contact, to produce a mattress stack (201). A press (501) applies pressure in the direction of said mattress stack, such that said pressure is normal to the support surfaces and consistent with pressure applied by a reclining body, thereby resulting in reversible compression to form a compressed mattress stack. Restraining elements (601) restrains the mattress stack and the process may be repeated to increase the size of the stack.
