Novel Active Wooden Dummy
The invention relates to the field of Wushu facilities and provides a novel active wooden dummy comprising a lower limb assembly, an upper body assembly and two arm assemblies. The lower limb assembly is provided with a driving device and a vertical spindle. The spindle is vertically arranged. The upper body assembly is rotatably arranged on the spindle. The driving device drives the upper body assembly to repeatedly swing leftwards or rightwards. Each arm assembly comprises a front arm rod, a rear arm rod, a turning rod and a connection rod. Kinetic energy generated when the upper body assembly swings is used to drive the arm assemblies to stretch or retreat, the whole wooden dummy can be driven by one driving device to move, and the arm assemblies stretch or retreat when the upper body assembly swings, so as to simulate attack motions from opponents in actual combat.
Artificial surfing reef for affecting surface waves
The present invention is an artificial surfing reef for modifying a body of water's bathymetry to create surfing waves. The artificial surfing reef is a shaped structure made up of many sized and shaped Expanded Polystyrene Geo Foam blocks. As swell moves toward the shore, its bottom is resisted by the leading edge of the Expanded Polystyrene Geo Foam artificial surfing reef. As the swell transverses over the Expanded Polystyrene Geo Foam Artificial reef, the wave topples over and forms a plunging surfing wave. An earth anchor, connected to a cable, linked to a round shaped anchor disc, is attached to each Expanded Polystyrene Geo Foam block for maintaining the foam artificial reef at a desired location submersed underwater. A plurality of Expanded Polystyrene Geo Foam blocks may be attached to one another and configured so as to define a surf reef, which enhances the suitability of waves for surfing.
PILATES MAT WITH ADJUSTABLE ISCHIAL TUBEROSITY SUPPORT
An adjustable support mat for performing Pilates, yoga, or other activities involving sitting, has an adjustable gap region for providing ischial tuberosity support to a user having a protruding coccyx (tailbone), or experiencing pain in the coccyx region. A first and second mat element is held in position relative to each other with one or more adjustable spacing connectors to establish a gap width that is optimum for a particular user. The mat elements are constructed of resilient compressible material can be covered with an outer material, and can include nonskid bottom surface. The adjustable spacing connectors have touch fasteners, pressure sensitive adhesive, or other fastening means that are detachable and re-attachable, and can be rigid or flexible. A flexible nonskid adjustable connector sheet can be used as a spacing connector. The adjustable support mat can be folded or rolled for storage, or carried by a carrying strap.
Composite materials comprising a thermoplastic matrix polymer and wood particles
The present invention concerns a novel low-temperature thermoplastic wood-biopolymer composite comprised of small wood particles and a polycaprolactone (PCL) homopolymer for use in medical procedures including orthopedic casting or splinting. The material is made from a thermoplastic composite that softens when heated to approximately 60 C., after which it can be formed directly on the patient. The composite then retains its shape as it cools down. The material is composed of epsilon caprolactone homopolymer reinforced with discontinuous short length wood particles.
Composite Paddles and Methods for Forming same
The present teachings contemplate a paddle comprising a striking portion defining a central axis, a handle portion. and a tapered portion contiguous with both the handle portion and the striking portion: a sandwich structure comprising a core layer and a first skin coupled with the core layer, the first skin comprising a first fabric layer and a second fabric layer coupled with the first fabric layer.
BIODEGRADABLE SPORTS BALL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURE THEREOF
The invention relates to a sports ball comprising a rubber core and optionally a felt, the rubber core defining an internal volume and an outer surface, the felt being provided on the outer surface of the rubber core, and the rubber core comprising: natural and/or synthetic rubber; and a biodegradability-enabling additive comprising at least one organic compound in a carrier material, wherein the organic compound is a nutrient substrate for an active landfill or marine environment strain of bacteria. The invention further relates to a method for manufacturing a tennis ball including: a) mixing natural rubber and butadiene rubber with further ingredients and the biodegradability-enabling additive; b) extruding a portion of the mixture; c) utilizing the extruded portion for forming a shellpart; d) assembling a core by attaching at least two shellparts to each other; e) inflating the core; and f) providing a felt on the surface of the core.
FLAT SHEET RING-LIKE ADAPTERS FOR BEER PONG GAME ALTERNATIVE AND METHOD OF MAKING PROMOTIONAL CUP ADAPTERS
A flat sheet is pre-scored or perforated to show two or more adapter cup, clip devices per sheet. The adapter clips let smaller drinking cups rest atop the upper rims of larger drinking cups when playing a modified version of beer pong that uses harder (i.e., non-beer) alcohols. On the sheets themselves, the ring-like adapter clips and/or the removed center portions thereof, there would be pre-printed one or more promotional displays selected from the group consisting of sports team logos, school colors/nicknames, product discounts, radio station and/or fraternity tie-ins.
GOLF CLUB TRAINING DEVICE AND SYSTEM
A golf club training device including: a body having a first end configured to be gripped by a user and a second end longitudinally extended from the first end; and a swing speed sensor disposed at the second end for producing an output signal for determining a portion of a golf swing having a greatest swing speed. A golf club training system is also provided to include: a plurality of the golf club training devices wherein at least two of each of the plurality of golf club training devices having one or more of a different weight and length.
Golf Putter with Animal Bone Insert
The disclosure provides a putter head including a striking face formed of animal bone. In an example, an outer striking surface can be made of animal bone, wherein the outer striking surface is adhered to the striking face of the putter head. In an example, the striking face includes a central cavity and an insert, wherein the insert is formed of animal bone.
INFLATABLE BALL
An inflatable ball includes an inner bladder, an inflation valve, and a seamless outer foam layer. The inner bladder is formed with an air inflatable space. The inflation valve is disposed in the inner bladder for introducing gas into the air inflatable space. The seamless outer foam layer is molded over and encloses the inner bladder, and has a through hole in fluid communication with the inflation valve.
