Baling press with rope knotter
A baling press having a rope tying system with a loop supply member for forming a loop of the second rope material across the bale pressing channel to the first side of the bale pressing channel and a loop of the first rope material at the first side. The loop supply member is suspended on the second side of said bale pressing channel and movable along a straight path between an extended position projecting across the bale pressing channel and a retracted position. The loop supply member has a turn guide for forming and guiding the loops in the first and second rope materials and a spreader for, when the loop supply member is in the extended position, holding the rope materials guided so that portions in the knotting area are spaced from a free end portion of the loop supply member.

Binding machine and method for testing the strength of a joint formed on a closed loop of an elongated binding element
A binding machine including a feeding and tensioning device for feeding a binding element in the form of a wire or strap around a space, and a joining device for forming a joint between a first binding element section at the leading end of the binding element and a second binding element section at the trailing end of a piece of the binding element arranged in a loop in or around the space to thereby form a closed loop of this piece of the binding element. The feeding and tensioning device is configured to exert a tensile force on the binding element in order to subject the joint to a tensile test. During this test, a gripping arrangement is configured to keep the first binding element section secured in fixed position by engagement with a part of the first binding element section located between the joint and the leading end of the binding element.

STRAPPING DEVICE HAVING A PIVOTABLE ROCKER
Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a mobile strapping device for strapping packaged products using a loop of wrapping strap. The strapping device includes a tensioning device for applying tension to the strap and a connecting device for connecting two overlapping portions of the strap. The tensioning device includes a rotatable tensioning wheel and a tensioning plate. The tensioning wheel is supported by a rocker that is pivotable to change a distance separating the tensioning wheel and the tensioning plate. The mobile strapping device includes a motor that is operably connectable to the rocker or the tensioning wheel such that the motor causes pivoting of the rocker or rotation of the tensioning wheel when operating in a first direction of rotation. In various embodiments, gearing, including a plurality of planetary gear sets, is used to operatively connect the motor to the rocker and the tensioning wheel.

SHOCK ABSORBING FEED WHEEL ASSEMBLY
A strapping machine of the type that feeds, retracts, tensions and seals strap to itself to form a loop of strap around a load, has a shock absorbing feed wheel assembly. The machine includes a frame, a feed head having a motor, a tension head, a sealing head and a strap chute mounted to the frame. The feed wheel assembly has a friction engaging surface and at least one pocket formed therein. A spring hub is engaged with the feed wheel and has at least one pocket formed therein corresponding to the feed wheel pocket. The spring hub is operably connected to the feed head motor. At least one spring is positioned in the feed wheel pocket and the spring hub pocket and is sandwiched between the feed wheel and the spring hub. The feed wheel is driven by rotation of the spring hub and engagement of the spring with the feed wheel pocket and spring hub pocket. The shock absorbing feed wheel assembly dampens the forces on the feed head motor and drive when the feed wheel comes to an abrupt stop and prevents strap slippage.

MACHINE HEAD FOR PACKING MACHINE AND PACKING MACHINE
A strapping machine and head are provided including a mounting base, a sealing assembly including a cutter for cutting the strapping tape and a sealing element for welding a strapping tape. The sealing assembly, which is slidably disposed on the mounting base, includes a first, second, and third clamping mechanism, for clamping the strapping tape. A belt feeding assembly including a first motor, a driving wheel and a guide block fixedly disposed on the mounting base. The driving wheel is rotatably disposed on the mounting base and an arc-shaped belt feeding channel is formed between the driving wheel and the guide block. The first motor drives the driving wheel to rotate, and a driving assembly drives the sealing assembly close to or away from the driving wheel. A balanced tension is applied to a strapping tape through a strapping machine head to improve the strapping quality of the strapping machine.
