The pedals are connected through a common axis and connect to a loading mechanism. There can be a flywheel and a transmission that alters the turning rate of the flywheel and/or the loading mechanism. The size and shape of the resistance loading housing is configured to fit under a common office desk. The user's weight, is transferred to the plate through the office chair caster to improve the stability of the desk bike.

Her rotation of her hands moves the grips, which in turn rotates the crank-arms, finally rotating the axle.
