Collation shrink films
A process for collation shrink wrapping an object that may include a number of individual containers, preferably a number of substantially identical containers. The process may include the steps of (i) obtaining a binding tape that is a film uniaxially oriented in the machine direction (MD) and wrapping the tape around the object, (ii) sealing the ends of the now wrapped binding tape (i.e., to form a loop), (iii) obtaining a collation shrink film that may include a multimodal linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE), the film being a stretched film that is uniaxially oriented in the machine direction (MD) in a draw ratio of at least 1:3, (iv) wrapping the collation shrink film around the object of step (ii), (v) heating the wrapped object of step (iv) such that the tape shrinks in its machine direction and the collation shrink film shrinks in its machine direction.

The invention relates to device, method and packaging facility having a transport section (17) for feeding article arrangements (5) in a transport direction (TR) to a packaging module (18). The transport section (17) comprises a transfer plate (15), on which the articles (2) of the article arrangements (5) are movable in a sliding manner. Located above the transfer plate (15) are pushing devices (16) for moving the articles (2) on the transfer plate (15), with the pushing devices (16) being movable in transport direction (TR) at least in some areas. A bundling machine includes a wrapper that wraps the combination while it rests on a forward end of a paper cutout and a rear end of the paper cutout overlaps the forward end of the paper cutout while the combination moves in a transport direction, a transporter having a wrapping belt and a removal belt that follows the wrapping belt along the transport direction for conveying the combination of packages along a transport plane in the transport direction through the wrapper, and a controller that controls the relative speed of the belts so that, while the combination contacts both belts, the wrapping belt moves faster than the removal belt, thereby causing the rear end to sustain a tension in the direction of the forward end.

Multi-layer collation shrink film comprising a main layer based on a polyethylene mixture comprising 75 to 85 wt.-% low density polyethylene and 15 to 25 wt.-% high density polyethylene or linear low density polyethylene and a skin layer based on a polar ethylene copolymer with vinyl acetate or alkyl (meth)acrylate with a vinyl acetate or alkyl (meth)acrylate content of at least 15 wt.-% and containing 5000 to 20000 ppm silica and a slip agent, use of the film in multi-layer packaging films and method for packaging objects together with the multi-layer collation shrink film including printing the skin layer with a digital ink printing process before or after packaging the objects.

The process may include the steps of (i) obtaining a collation shrink film that may include a multimodal linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE), the film being a stretched film that is uniaxially oriented in the machine direction (MD) in a draw ratio of at least 1:3, (ii) wrapping the object in the film, and (iii) heating the object wrapped in the film in order to collation shrink the film around the object.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR FORMING CONTAINER GROUPINGS
Provided is a method for packing arrangements of piece goods, in which a plurality of piece goods and particularly containers are at least partially interconnected by a first connection device, at least two-piece goods of said plurality of piece goods being directly interconnected by the connection device. According to the embodiments, this plurality of piece goods connected by means of the connection device is packed with a second connection device in the form of a second wrapping element and the plurality of piece goods connected by a first connection device is transported to a packaging device by a transport device and surrounded and particularly wrapped by said packaging device with the second wrapping element.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR FORMING CONTAINER GROUPINGS
Provided is a method for packaging piece good groupings, in which a plurality of piece goods, particularly containers, are at least partially interconnected by a first connector, wherein at least two-piece goods of this plurality are directly interconnected by the connector. According to the embodiment, this plurality of piece goods connected by the connector is packaged with a second connector in the form of a second wrapping element, and said plurality of piece goods connected by a first connector is conveyed by a conveyor device to a packaging device and enclosed, particularly wrapped, with the second wrapping element by said packaging unit.
