PORTABLE FULL BODY RESISTANCE TRAINING DEVICE
The present invention relates to a lightweight, portable full-body resistance training exercise device. The device is attachable to a planar edge, such as a footboard, headboard, or sideboard of a bed. The device supports a plurality of mounting points for mounting straps and resistance bands. The device permits the position of the resistance bands to be adjusted for optimal anatomic positioning. The device allows for incremental adjustment of resistance to suit a user's strength and training protocol.
Person Support Apparatuses With Selectively Coupled Foot Sections
Person support apparatuses are disclosed. In one embodiment, a person support apparatus comprises a base frame and a primary support frame supported on the base frame. A carriage is freely translatable at least between a head end of the primary support frame and a foot end of the primary support frame. A support surface is supported on the carriage such that the support surface translates with the carriage. The support surface includes a support section which is collapsible in a length direction of the support surface. The support section may include an air bladder and a control valve fluidly coupled to the air bladder that regulates air pressure within the air bladder. The control valve has a normally closed position and a vent position, wherein the person support apparatus comprises an exercise configuration wherein the control valve is in the vent position and the air bladder is vented to atmosphere.
Person support apparatuses with selectively coupled foot sections
Person support apparatuses with selectively coupled foot sections are disclosed. In one embodiment, the person support apparatus includes a base frame, a primary support frame supported on the base frame, and a foot section coupled to the primary support frame. The person support apparatus also includes a carriage that is freely translatable between a head end of the primary support frame and a foot end of the primary support frame, the carriage comprising a torso portion and a seat portion having a thigh segment and a gluteal segment. The person support apparatus further includes a selectable trunnion that selectively and severally couples the foot section to the primary support frame and the thigh segment of the seat portion.
Openable Exercising Device that is Stored Easily and Conveniently and is Adapted to Function as Furniture
An exercising device includes a base placed on a plane, a cover pivotally connected with the base, and an exercise apparatus mounted between the base and the cover. The cover has a side pivotally mounted on a side of the base. The cover is pivoted relative to the base to open or close a top face of the base. The exercise apparatus includes a leg working unit mounted on the base. Thus, the exercising device is stored easily and conveniently and is adapted to function as furniture. The exercising device also has a dustproof function.
Exercise equipment for limited mobility individuals
This invention is directed to an exercising apparatus for individuals with spinal injuries including; a frame having a vertically adjustable vertical standard; a forked base having a space defined in the forked base for receiving a wheelchair; a resistance assembly pivotally attached to the vertical standard having a vertical position, and a horizontal position so that an individual can use the exercise apparatus while sitting in a wheelchair in the vertical position and while inclined on a horizontal surface in the horizontal position; and, a resistance member included in the resistance assembly to increase the amount of force needed to rotate the resistance assembly. The invention can include a first pedal assembly for being rotated by hand and a second pedal assembly linked to the first pedal assembly so that when the first pedal assembly is rotated, the second pedal assembly rotates. The forked base can be disposed under the horizontal surface in the horizontal position. The resistance assembly can include foot pedals having a strap for securing the individual feet to the pedals.
Patient bed having active motion exercise
A patient support apparatus may include a frame and an articulated deck coupled to the frame. The articulated deck may include a head section, a seat section, a thigh section, and a foot section. The seat section may include a stationary frame coupled to the frame and a moveable frame that moves relative to the stationary frame. The moveable frame may move between a retracted position and an extended position.
FLEXURE TUBE EXERCISE DEVICE
An exercise device includes a first anchor tube, a first flex tube, a first resistance coupler, and a first stiffener. The first anchor tube is configured to be anchored between two substantially fixed surfaces. The first flex tube is configured to provide resistance against and in response to manual flexing of the first flex tube. The first resistance coupler comprises a resilient material and is configured to attach the first flex tube to the first anchor tube. The first resistance coupler is made from a resilient material that provides resistance against and in response to manual manipulation of the first anchor tube and the first flex tube relative to each other. The first stiffener rod is sized to be inserted within the first flex tube to increase resistance required for manual manipulation.
KINETIC RESISTANCE APPARATUS
A portable and kinetic motion resistance upper body invention that can be used for a variety of exercises. This invention combines dial tension adjustment clutch sheaves, a variable linear tract bearing and a one piece resistance shock-cord, together these core components achieve a unique minimal impact work-out. The multi-motion and changeable adjustments for this invention, result in a wide variety of muscular stimulation and therapeutic exercises that are non-existent in the fitness and health industry. The outcome of the mechanism can be customized for a particular sport requirement or physio and other therapeutic restorations, or even for case specific industrial and robotic counter-balancing controls. This invention is can also be used as a lift-assist device.
Patient bed having exercise therapy apparatus
A patient support apparatus may include a frame. A control module may be positioned on the frame. A graphical user interface may be in communication with the control module. An exercise apparatus may be coupled to the frame and may be in communication with the control module.
Bed assembly and related methods
A bed assembly includes a bed frame having a head end and an opposed foot end. A first bed brace and a second bed brace are located at the head end and foot end of the bed frame. At least one upper sliding bar is configured to connect the upper ends of the first and second bed braces. The at least one upper sliding rail is configured to support an exercise apparatus. At least one work table is configured to slide back and forth along a lower sliding rail under the bed frame and concealed at the foot end of the bed frame when not in use.
