The invention relates to a method and to an apparatus for arranging a plurality of foods, in particular different types of cut meat products and sausage products, in at least one base portion of a packaging. The method is characterized in that the base portion receiving the foods is moved on a guide track, wherein magnetic fields are generated for moving the base portion; in that the cart is fed successively to food feeds of the individual foods; and in that at least one food is placed on or in the base portion at each food feed. The apparatus has at least two food feeds whose respective food transfer ends are arranged above a guide track on which carts which have packaging receivers having at least one receiving frame are movable by means of magnetic field sources.

A system and method are provided for processing and packaging food product. The system includes at least a transportation system configured to move food product on a conveyor belt, and a collection system configured to receive the food product from the transportation system on a disposable conveyor sheet, and further configured to package the disposable conveyor sheet with the food product thereon on and/or in a dispenser pack.

The sheet interleaver includes a feed device for providing a sheet material between slices of the food product and an electrostatic charging system configured to generate an electrostatic charge. The electrostatic charge generates a force urging the sheet material to move in a direction toward the food product. In one aspect, a method for coupling a sheet material to a food product configured to be sliced by a slicing machine is provided. The method includes feeding a sheet material for positioning between slices of the food product and generating an electrostatic charge to generate a force urging the sheet material to move in a direction toward the food product.

A web accumulation station is between the drawing station and the feed station to provide a slackened length of web material within an acceptable range of slack between the drawing station and the feed station. The supply of web material is disposed on a spool which rotates about a cylindrical shaft. The cylindrical shaft has a braking mechanism which protrudes from the shaft to generate a frictional force against the spool.
