Modules for manufacturing systems and modular manufacturing systems
A modular manufacturing system for wrapping and bundling or case packing rolled product. The modular manufacturing system includes a first end and a second end, a first module comprising a first piece of equipment, a second module comprising a second piece of equipment, and a third module comprising a third piece of equipment. The first piece of equipment comprises a wrapper. The second piece of equipment comprises a bundler. The third piece of equipment comprises a case closer. The first, second, and third modules are three of a plurality of additional modules arranged in a series configuration for metered product flow of the rolled product from the first end to the second end.
Unit, apparatus and method for cutting a chain of article
A cutting unit configured to make segments of consecutive articles from a continuous chain of articles, where the segments of consecutive articles have a desired number of articles in each segment of articles.
Pipe compression equipment
A system for compressing and packing pipe insulation includes a compression member that is movable along a first axis to compress pieces of pipe insulation. A stacking bay includes opposing walls that are spaced apart from one another. At least one of the two opposing walls is movable relative to the other of the two opposing walls along a second axis to adjust a lateral distance between the opposing walls to accommodate an increasing size of the pieces of pipe insulation along the second axis. The first axis is generally orthogonal to the second axis. A packing member that applies a force along a third axis to the pieces of pipe insulation after being compressed. The third axis is generally orthogonal to the first and second axes. The first axis is generally orthogonal to the second axis. The compression member is aligned with a space formed between the opposing walls.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR FORMING A PACKAGE COMPRISING A STACK OF ABSORBENT TISSUE PAPER MATERIAL AND A PACKAGING
A method for forming a package including a stack of absorbent tissue paper material and a packaging, the tissue paper material in the stack forming panels having a length, and a width perpendicular to the length, the panels being piled on top of each other to form a height extending between a first end surface and a second end surface of the stack, and the packaging encircling the stack so as to maintain the stack in a compressed condition in the package, with a selected packing density D0 of the stack, and a selected packing height H0; the method including: forming the stack of absorbent tissue paper material; compressing each portion of the stack in a direction along the height to assume a temporary height H1 being c1H0, where c1 is between 0.30 and 0.95; and applying the packaging to the stack.
Infeed system and method for product packaging machine
An infeed system for feeding a product downstream to a packaging machine for packaging a product with a packaging material includes a first conveyor section, a second conveyor section, and a third conveyor section. Each one of the conveyor sections includes a top belt and a bottom belt that engage respective surfaces of the product. The speeds of each belt may be adjusted to control the processing rate of the product and prevent any gaps between successive products. The top belt of the first conveyor system may also be inclined relative to the bottom belt to compress the product.
Sealed-letter preparing device
There are provided: a paper folding unit folding and sending a content sheet to a transfer path; an inserter unit sending an insert sheet to the transfer path; an acquiring unit acquiring information on a top/bottom direction and a surface/obverse direction of the content sheet and insert sheet; a merging unit in which the content sheet folded by the paper folding unit is overlapped with the insert sheet; and an enclosing unit enclosing the merged content sheet and insert sheet into an envelope sheet, in which, when the content sheet and insert sheet merge and are overlapped, the content sheet is folded so that the top/bottom direction and the surface/obverse direction of an image of the content sheet match those of an image of the insert sheet, based on the information acquired by the acquiring unit.
TISSUE PACKAGING APPARATUS
The present invention provides an apparatus and method for controlling the height of a clip of sheet material that is independent from the other steps of the manufacturing, converting and packaging operations. The invention comprises introducing positive pressure air flow after the clip has been at least partially inserted into a carton. Positive pressure air flow is provided in a direction substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the clip and transverse to the cut end of the sheet causing the clip to increase in height. The degree of increase may be controlled by controlling the positive air pressure, while the carton acts as a restraint for the clip.
COLD SEAL PAPER APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MAILPIECES
Apparatus for manufacturing mailpieces, comprising a supply module for supplying cold seal paper to form an envelope body, a feeding module for collating documents to form the content to be inserted in the mailpiece, and a pair of finishing rollers for folding the envelope body around the content and sealing the mailpiece in a single finishing step.
SCA HYGIENE PRODUCTS AB
A package including a stack of absorbent tissue paper material and a packaging, wherein, in the stack, the absorbent tissue paper material forms panels having a length, and a width perpendicular to the length, the panels being piled on top of each other to form a height extending between a first end surface and a second end surface of the stack; the absorbent tissue paper material including at least a structured tissue material, the stack, when in the package, having a selected packing density D0 of 0.20 to 0.65 kg/dm.sup.3, and exerting a force along the height of the stack towards the packaging, the packaging encircling the stack so as to maintain the stack in a compressed condition with the selected packing density D0.
Methods of providing stacks of wet wipes with improved wetness gradients
A method of reducing a wetness gradient development for a package of wet wipes is provided. The method includes, after wet wipes are enclosed within a package to form the package of wet wipes, locating the package of wet wipes in a first orientation such that a first side faces downward and an opposite second side faces upward to form a first wetness gradient after a preselected amount of time. Prior to opening the package of wet wipes, the method includes inverting the package of wet wipes according to a predetermined turning schedule to place the package of wet wipes in a second orientation such that the first side faces upward and the second side faces downward to form a second wetness gradient that is different from the first wetness gradient.
