The passageway provides fluid communication from an interior of the receptacle to an exterior of the receptacle. The sidewall extends upward from the interior surface of the base. The cover is configured to sealingly engage with a top edge of the sidewall, and includes a cover opening. The container is configured to accept input fluid through the cover opening and to provide a corresponding outflow of fluid through the passageway. The passageway allows the outflow fluid to flow from the container while accommodating an outflow needle of a beverage brewer.
Coffee Grinder Having Filling Device for Refillable Coffee Capsules
Capsule coffee and capsule coffee machines have become very popular, mainly using disposable capsules. The amount of metal or plastic waste per kilogram of coffee is relatively large, as the capsules must be disposed of after single use. Refillable capsules are offered as an alternative. A disadvantage of all refillable capsules is that it is difficult and hardly reproducible to fill same with the optimal amount of coffee powder. The aim of this invention is to enable fast, clean and reproducible optimal filling of refillable coffee capsules. This is achieved by a filling device for refillable coffee capsules or a coffee grinder having such a filling device. This consists of an access opening and a filling tube through which ground coffee powder can fall into the capsule, a plunger that is guided in the filling tube and can be moved up and down therein in order to compress the coffee powder that has fallen into the capsule, as well as a movable receptacle for a capsule, which movable receptacle is located underneath the filling tube.
System and method for making capsules with filters
A system and process for forming and sealing a filter in a capsule is provided. The system includes a filter forming station having a mandrel for forming a filter preform, a capsule holder for holding a body of a capsule for receiving the mandrel with the filter preform and a filter sealing station including a sealer for sealing the filter preform to the body at a desired location within the interior surface of the body. The mandrel is adapted to hold the filter preform at a desired position for placement and sealing within the body. The process includes forming a filter preform on a mandrel from a filter material, positioning a body of a capsule for receiving the mandrel with the filter preform, the mandrel being adapted to hold the filter preform, and sealing the filter preform at a desired location to an interior surface of the body.

An apparatus (100) for manufacturing capsules (10) under vacuum for preparing beverages is described, comprising: a plurality of support elements (105) and a driving system (120) adapted to move said support elements (105) and stop them in a plurality of operative stations, wherein each support element (105) comprises a row of housing seats (115), wherein the operative stations comprise at least: a loading station (145) for inserting into the housing seats (115) a glass-shaped body (15), a filling station (150) for filling glass-shaped bodies (15) with a food substance adapted to produce a beverage, a covering station (155) for applying and fixing on the glass/shaped bodies (15) a closing film (45), and a sealing station (160) for placing under vacuum the inner volume of the glass-shaped bodies (15) and for sealing the closing film (45) and wherein said sealing station (160) comprises: a plurality of bell-shaped members (280), each of which is adapted to overlay to one respective housing seat (115) and has mouthpiece directed downward, a movement apparatus (300) for moving each bell-shaped member (280) in vertical direction between a raised position to a lowered position, a vacuum generating apparatus (340) to reduce the inner volume of bell-shaped members (280), and a plurality of welding elements (390), each of which is contained inside a respective bell-shaped member (280) for airtightly welding the closing film (45) on the glass-shaped body (15) contained in the housing seat (115).

A machine for forming filter bags for infusion products includes a first carousel including a plurality of first stations for operating on pieces of filtering material. A transfer device transfers the pieces to a second carousel. The transfer device includes a first wheel, rotatable parallel to the carousels, and including units for receiving from the first stations and releasing to the second carousel, the pieces. Each receiving unit includes 1) first gripping and stabilising devices for retaining the pieces upright and positioned with a free head end directed towards the axis of the first wheel and 2) second gripping devices for positioning and retaining a tag on the piece, fed from a corresponding feeding station, to release to the second carousel the piece with a corresponding tag alongside the free head end of the piece.
Capsules transport system with interchangeable housings
A transport system for transporting capsules within a machine for preparing capsules for producing capsules. Housings, wherein each housing is configured to house a capsule for producing beverages, and wherein the housings comprise at least a first housing for holding a first capsule and a second housing for holding a second capsule, wherein the second capsule is different in size and/or shape from the first capsule. Seats are configured to receive one of the housings with each seat configured to receive either the first housing or the second housing. An extractor extracts the first housing from a seat in which it is received. An insertor inserts the second housing into the seat. A machine for preparing capsules for producing beverages in which such a transport system is implemented is also presented.
