The extractor group is configured to deposit on the conveyor the articles extracted from the stacks in a number of rows smaller than the number of the stacks.

A beverage brewing cartridge includes a base including a sidewall having first and second open ends and a cover sealed to a rim of the first open end, and a plug configured to be inserted into the second open end. The cartridge is configured to hold beverage brewing material when the plug is inserted. The cover is configured to be breached to allow pressurized liquid to enter the cartridge to brew a beverage. The plug includes weakened areas configured to open after the pressurized liquid enters the cartridge to allow the beverage to flow from the cartridge. A method of constructing the cartridge includes placing the base in a holder, inserting a portion of brewing material into the base through the second open sidewall end, tamping the brewing material in the base through the second open sidewall end, and inserting the plug into the second open sidewall end.

A method of manufacturing a support element for beverage brewing material includes providing water-permeable material to form a concave holder configured to receive the material, with a rim formed around an upper periphery. The method can include providing the material with fold lines, forming the holder from a single piece of the material, and shaping the holder into an open state. Preparing a beverage includes unfolding the support element to form a receptacle, adding the brewing material to an interior, and providing a flow of fluid through the material. An empty container includes filter material formable as a receptacle having has a bottom and sidewalls with folds defining an interior, and a rim at a top edge. The receptacle has a circular cross-section and a diameter of between about 30 mm and about 50 mm and/or a depth of between about 1 mm and about 15 mm.

Method of forming, in particular a thermoforming method, a foil into a container, in particular a brewing container, especially a coffee capsule, using a plug assist and/or pressure difference in axial main forming direction, directing the foil into a forming tool creating a blank with a cavity and pressing the foil towards the forming tool bottom in order to create a floor for the blank and characterising the method in that the floor of the blank experiences a material distribution, especially a material shifting and/or material compression, during which a constant pressure difference within the blank's cavity is guaranteed and a circumferential annular gap is created.

The invention relates to a single serve capsule (1) for producing a beverage, comprising a capsule body (2). Said capsule body has a capsule bottom (3), a sidewall (22), a collar edge (5), and a cover (6). A cavity (100) for accommodating a beverage substrate in the form of a powder, granules, cut leaves or liquid is formed between the capsule bottom and the cover. A filter element (7) is arranged in the cavity, and the filter element is produced of non-woven fiber material. The filter element has a cut-out in which no filtering material is provided. The present invention also relates to a method for producing a single serve capsule.

A quick self-making tool for a coffee capsule includes a die holder and a pressing die. A die cavity for containing a capsule shell is formed in the die holder, a sealing film is laid on an opening of the capsule shell, the sealing film seals the opening of the capsule shell through pressing of the pressing die to make the coffee capsule, and a guide piece is arranged on the die holder, and is configured to guide the sealing film to be coaxially aligned with the capsule shell before being pressed and guide up-down vertical movement of the pressing die during pressing. The pressing die evenly press an outer ring of the capsule shell, the sealing effect of the sealing film and the capsule shell is improved, and the situation that the sealing film and the top face of the capsule shell are not combined firmly is avoided.
