A packaged assembly of a hermetically sealed container and cigarette, and method of forming the assembly. The container is hermetically sealed for airtight conditions for freshness, whereby an interior space is either filled with an inert gas or is evacuated down to a pressure close to 0 atm to remove substantially all air (oxygen) from within. The container may be clear glass to afford good visibility of the cigarette within an interior space thereof. However, a relatively large label may be affixed to the exterior of the container to occlude most of the light from reaching the cigarette.

The present disclosure relates to a transfer plate for a container element. The transfer plate extends in a first direction and a second direction being perpendicular to each other. The transfer plate comprises a cavity portion comprising at least one through-going first cavity adapted to receive and hold the container element, the first cavity having a first open area. The transfer plate further comprises a cover portion being at least as large as, or substantially as large as, the first open area.

The disclosure further relates to an attachment unit for attaching a container element to a container body and to an apparatus for attaching container elements to container bodies in a flow of containers. In addition the disclosure relates to a method of attaching a container element to a container body by means of the attachment unit.

A packaged coffee product with oxygen dissolved therein along with milk and/or sweeteners in the sealed packaging is provided. Preferably, the pH of the product is 4.6 or greater, preferably 5.0 or greater. The coffee product may be hot or cold brew coffee and may have other gasses such as nitrogen and/or carbon-dioxide in the sealed container. Ideally, there is oxygen in both the headspace and liquid portion of the beverage in order to inhibit C.Bot growth without requiring retort processing. Preferably, the calorie count is in the range of 0.5-9 calories per ounce.

Electric pressure canner with digital control

A digital pressure canner and related methods of operation that provide for improved safety and consistency during a food canning process by reducing temperature over and undershoot. The digital pressure canner includes a digital control operating with inputs from digital sensors to accurately control the canning temperature during the canning process. By reducing over and undershoot of canning temperatures, foods within the pressure canner are maintained at temperatures sufficient to kill any bacteria or microorganisms for the entire canning cycle. In order to verify operation of the digital canner at sufficient canning temperatures, mechanical safety devices, for example, a pressure relief valve can be utilized in conjunction with digital controllers and sensors to provide audible and visual feedback to a user during the canning process.

A PACKING APPARATUS FOR LOADING COMPRESSIBLE ARTICLES
20240228090 · 2024-07-11 · ·

The present invention discloses a packing apparatus for loading compressible articles, the apparatus comprising loading means (1, 2) for loading a stack of compressible articles into an open ended carton sleeve (3), compressing means (5) to compress the ends of the stack of articles when loaded into the sleeve (3), and folding means (6, 7, 8) to close the ends of the sleeve (3), wherein the loading means (1, 2) comprises a first clamping arm (1) adapted to clamp one end of the stack of articles sufficiently so that the first clamping arm (1) can load the compressed stack through one end of the sleeve (3), a second clamping arm (2) adapted to enter the opposite end of the sleeve (3) to clamp the opposite end of the stack while the first clamping arm (1) is released from the stack and withdrawn from the sleeve (3), the second clamping arm (2) also being adapted to release and withdraw from the sleeve (3), and wherein the compressing means (5) comprises pushers to press into the sleeve (3) onto the opposed ends of the loaded stack, and wherein the folding means (6, 7, 8) comprises folding elements to fold end closure panels of the sleeve (3) to close said sleeve.

Systems and methods for oxygen free packaging

A method for packaging products in a substantially oxygen free environment. The method includes providing a containment environment with a main chamber formed by main chamber walls, gloves connected to the main chamber walls, an exhaust portion for removing ambient air, an intake portion for introducing inert gas, and selectively sealable access points for providing access into and out of the main chamber. The method includes providing a bulk product dispenser and individual bottles into the main chamber and sealing the main chamber. The method includes purging ambient air from the main chamber through the exhaust portion and filling the containment environment with inert gas. The method includes transferring a product from the bulk product dispenser to each of the individual bottles and sealing the bottles.
