Closure device for adding gas to and closing containers that have a filler opening
The invention relates to a closing device for closing containers which have a filling opening, such as bottles or cans, comprising a positioning apparatus for arrangement of a container to be closed into a position for closing, a flushing apparatus with a nozzle device for blowing in flushing gas, in particular inert gas, into a container to be closed though its filling opening prior to closure, a closing element setting apparatus for attachment of a closing element to a container to be closed in a position which closes its filling opening and thus the container and a control apparatus.
TEXTURE MODIFIED FOOD PRODUCT
The invention is directed broadly to a method of preparing a texture modified food product, comprising the steps: (a) providing a partially cooked fruit or vegetable; (b) comminuting the partially cooked fruit or vegetable to form a paste; and (c) moulding the paste to form the texture modified food product which is shaped and/or textured into a generic shape of the fruit or vegetable selected to form the paste.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR TRANSPORTING LIVE INSECTS
Systems and methods for transporting live insects in a secure and environmentally controlled manner. The systems include containers and packaging for transporting the live insects at a controlled temperature and pressure.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR THE APPLICATION AND SEALING OF END CLOSURES ON CONTAINERS
The invention is directed to a system and method for hermetically sealing a closure to a container comprising a die assembly and a mandrel assembly. The mandrel assembly comprises an outer mandrel, an inner mandrel, and an ejector disposed within an inner circumference of the inner mandrel. At least the outer mandrel is configured to translate a first distance in a first time period, the inner mandrel and the ejector are configured to translate a second distance in a second time period, the inner mandrel is configured to retract a third distance in a third time period, and the ejector is configured to retract the third distance in a fourth time period.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR THE APPLICATION AND SEALING OF END CLOSURES ON CONTAINERS
The invention is directed to a system and method for sealing a closure to a container comprising a die assembly, a mandrel assembly, and a gas evacuation assembly. The mandrel assembly comprises an outer mandrel and an inner mandrel. The outer mandrel is configured to vertically translate and constrain a closure in position. The gas evacuation assembly, which comprises at least one hollow channel within the die and one or more channel openings into the interior of the die, suctions gas from the interior of an aligned container when the closure is constrained in position. The inner mandrel translates vertically to insert the closure into the container and a sealing member seals the closure in place.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PURGING OXYGEN FROM MEDICAL VIALS
A medical vial filling system is adapted to fill a medical vial with a solution and cap the filled medical vial. A purging system includes a manifold disposed between a filling station and a capping station. The manifold includes a filling inlet port and a plurality of output ports. The output ports are positioned in a space proximate the filling station and in a space over the transport mechanism. A stoppering block includes a capping chamber for receiving a bushing positioned at the capping station. The stoppering block comprises a stoppering inlet port, a first nozzle opening into the capping chamber and a second nozzle extending into the capping chamber and directed into the medical vial when the medical vial is position in the capping station. A supply of non-reactive gas at the filling inlet port directs flow of the non-reactive gas out the manifold outlet ports to evacuate air and substitute the non-reactive gas in the filled medical vial and at the stoppering inlet port directs flow of the non-reactive gas in a flood zone surround a space above the medical vials when the medical vial is positioned in the capping station and in a stream directed into the medical vial when the medical vial is positioned in the capping station.
APPARATUS AND PROCESS FOR PACKAGING PRODUCTS
A packaging apparatus includes a frame, a lower tool engaged with the frame and configured to receive one or more supports, and an upper tool configured to engage a film portion with at least one support. The lower tool is movable relative to the frame at least between: a packaging position, in which the lower tool is aligned with the upper tool, and a loading position spaced from the packaging position in which the lower tool is configured to receive said support. The packaging apparatus comprises a barrier configured to intercept the package during the movement of the lower tool from the packaging position to the loading position.
Device and method for pressure-packaging a container to be processed and associated pressure-packaging machine
Disclosed is a device and a method for pressure-packaging a container to be processed, which is sealed by a stopper, the device including a cap with a needle, a fluid injector, and a heating cannula, the cap being designed to be applied to the stopper in a tight manner, the needle being able to move so as to pierce a hole through the stopper, the cannula being able to move so as to close the hole by the melting of the material of the stopper, the needle and the cannula being arranged such that the axes of movement thereof are secant at a point located in the stopper, the end of the cannula being convex.
APPARATUS FOR THE VACUUM PACKAGING OF FOOD
An apparatus for the vacuum packaging of food, which includes a base structure which defines a vacuum chamber which can be connected to a vacuum pump. Between the vacuum chamber and the vacuum pump, at least one air filtration device is provided which has elements for varying at least one thermo-fluid dynamics parameter of the flow of air extracted from the vacuum chamber by the vacuum pump, in order to enable the elimination, from the air extracted from the vacuum chamber, of water, biochemical liquids and biological materials.
SAUSAGE TRAY AND PACKAGING METHOD
A tray for receiving sausages is provided. The tray includes cells which are adapted to substantially match the shape of sausages or other soft materials. The tray may be vacuum sealed to cause a relatively uniform top surface suitable for stacking. The tray may be sealed without pre-freezing the sausages and without causing significant deformation to said sausages upon thawing. The tray may be loaded in an automated manner without the use of robotic arms placing individual sausages into the tray.
