COMPRESSION BELT FOR INFLATION AND SEALING DEVICES
20190283912 · 2019-09-19 ·

The present disclosure is directed to a compression belt for inflation and sealing devices. The device may include an inflation assembly, a heating assembly, and a drive mechanism. The inflation assembly may direct fluid between first and second overlapping plies of a flexible web material to inflate chambers between the plies. The heating assembly may be operable to heat the first and second plies of the web material to create a longitudinal heat seal that seals the fluid in the inflated chambers. The drive mechanism may drive the web material in a downstream direction. The drive mechanism may tension the web material against the heating assembly. The drive mechanism may include a first belt including a high grip material on a surface that contacts the web material to grip the web material during heating by the heating assembly.

System for processing containers

One embodiment of the present invention provides a system for processing containers. The system may include an apparatus for processing sealed plastic containers having a first headspace pressure. The apparatus may include: an open entry port or tunnel for continuously receiving containers; a sanitizer configured to sanitize outside surfaces of the received containers; a perforator configured to perforate or open a cap or seal of the containers within the apparatus; a sealer configured to seal the perforation or opening formed in the cap or seal of the containers; an open exit port or tunnel for continuously exiting the processed containers; and a conveyor system configured to transport or convey the containers. The system may further include a production line including a filler for filling empty blow-moulded containers with a heated liquid to pasteurize inside surfaces of the containers and a capper for sealing the filled blow moulded containers.

Vacuum sealer with sealing bag cooling enhancement and improved lift mechanism

A vacuum sealer for vacuum packing products in plastic vacuum bags includes a sealing bar and a lift mechanism configured to raise and lower the sealing bar. In the raised position, the sealing bar is configured to engage and compress the vacuum bag against a compression bar. The vacuum sealer include a vacuum pump that is operated to draw a vacuum in the vacuum bag. The sealing bar includes a heating element that is configured to heat the sealing bar when energized. Once the vacuum is drawn in the vacuum bag, the sealing bar is heated and the heat is applied to the vacuum bag, which seals closed the vacuum bag with the product vacuum packed therein. The lifting mechanism lowers the sealing bar to release the vacuum packed product. The vacuum sealer includes a cooling chamber into which the sealing bar is moved when lowered by the lift mechanism. A cooling fan directs convection air through the cooling chamber and over the sealing bar to cool the sealing bar.

VACUUM EXTRACTION AND SEALING OF CONTAINERS
20190177017 · 2019-06-13 · ·

A system for evacuating and sealing containers filled with product, for example, food product, includes an enclosed, sealed housing wherein the pressure level and the atmospheric content can be controlled. A vacuum shroud is positioned in registry with a container entrance opening in the housing, the shroud connectible to a vacuum source and to a source of replaceable gas to replace the ambient air to be removed from the container. The shroud is advanceable to seal the container entrance opening and is retractable from the container entrance opening. A container transport system inserts the container through the housing entrance opening and into the shroud. Thereupon, a sealing system seals the housing from the ambient after the container has been inserted into the shroud. After the air in the container has been replaced with an inert gas and then the shroud retracted, a closure subsystem applies a cover to the evacuated container. Thereafter, an out feed subsystem removes the closed container from the housing while maintaining the atmospheric content and pressure level within the housing.

Provided is a system that manages and executes creation of recipes prepared and delivered in a vacuum-packed format, created by cooking the ingredients to sensor defined levels, blast chilling and confirming chilled temperature, then vacuum packing to lock in the flavor, freshness and nutrition of real and never processed food. The packaging can also include sensors to ensure the quality and viability of the delivered product. In one example, a vacuum sensor is integrated into the packaging to provide a visual indicator that the vacuum seal is intact from preparation to delivery. Additionally temperature sensors can also be included to provide another indicator that temperate has remained a specified level from preparation to delivery. Once delivered, the food lasts for at least seven days in the fridge, and final steps are limited to heated in boiling water (e.g., in six minutes), without any preparation or cleanup.
