A tablet dispensing apparatus for dispensing tablets into containers includes a cylindrical drum having an inner cavity and a cylindrical side wall provided with a row of seats adjacent to each other along a circumference arc, each seat for accommodating a respective tablet, and an ejection device to interact with the seats at angular ejection positions of the drum to eject the tablets from the seats out of the drum. The side wall is provided internally with a groove extending along the circumference arc and communicating with the seats. The ejection device has an ejection element movable during rotation of the drum, at an angular ejection position thereof, in an operating position. The ejection element is slidably inserted in a groove and at least partially in the seats to push outwardly and eject the respective tablets from the seats while the drum rotates.

The packaging device according to the invention comprises: a sensor system (54) configured to detect a collection of suitable pick-up points; at least one directing unit (16) configured to direct a product and provided with at least one degree of freedom for rotation of the product around a substantially horizontal rotation axis; and a manipulator (28) comprising: a pick-up element (44); and a moving device (30) comprising at least four degrees of freedom for translation of the product and rotation around a substantially horizontal axis, wherein a rotation of the product around a substantially vertical rotation axis is possibly by means of providing the moving device and/or directing unit with an additional degree of freedom.

Each projection has a surface, the uppermost points of the surface defining an upper receiver boundary plane. The storage container also includes a retainer with a fastening section and a retaining section, the retaining section preventing entry of the drug portions into a channel aligned with a delivery opening, and at least one cam for removing drug portions from the retaining section, the cam being movable above the upper receiver boundary plane over the retaining section.
