A device for insertion of goods or goods in the form of stacks, shingling or the like into packaging troughs includes one or more jettison belts. In a method for operating such a device, the goods or goods stacks are vertically deposited by the jettison belt in a packaging trough.

The invention relates to a handling apparatus for containers (I), in particular for beverage containers, having a transporting carousel, which can be driven in rotation about a central axis of rotation (D), and container mounts, which are arranged on the transporting carousel and are designed to transport containers (I) along a transporting route (T), which extends over a circumferential portion of the transporting carousel, wherein the container mounts can be driven in rotation at least along part of the transporting route (T), and wherein the container mounts are each assigned a braking device (IO). According to the invention, the respective braking device (IO) is designed to brake the rotation of the container mounts variably in a braking portion (B), which extends at least along part of the transporting route (T).

A packaging process includes the steps of receiving distinct clusters of products, orienting layered groups, moving the groups closer together, and inserting the bundle within a respective package. With the receiving step, the sum of the products of the clusters is equal to the number of products that can be accommodated in a layer of the final package. The products are mutually stacked so as to constitute respective layered groups that constitute a bundle. The layered groups that constitute a bundle are oriented according to the correct alignment required for its entry into the final package. The layered groups that constitute a bundle are moved closer to mutually contact the last product of one group with the first product of the contiguous group. Finally, the bundle constituted by the compacted layered groups, is inserted within a respective package.

Improved product handling and transfer apparatus includes rotatable product buckets for receiving product and re-orienting product for packaging in diverse configurations or containers. Buckets preferably include channels spanned by deposited product or receiving product therein, with bucket turning as appropriate to a packaging configuration. Flat bottom buckets and methods are disclosed.

A device for treating individual sausages, including: a sorting device having an endless conveyor belt traveling around a triangular geometry and having rails or carrier bars, on which belt the sausages, which are loosely deposited onto an ascending run of the belt, are distributed individually into the rails or carrier bars; an endless first conveying device with individual rails or carrier bars to accept the sorted sausages, wherein each individual rail or carrier bar accommodates one sausage; a grouping device, in which the sausages delivered by the first conveying device are combined into groups; a second conveying device with receiving sections, each of which accommodates the sausages of one group, and into which the sausages, lying side by side, are transferred from the grouping device; and a transfer device having a gripper device for gripping a sausage group and for transferring and depositing the sausage group into a receiving container.

The guides are disposed on the container transporter. An application element near the transporter applies adhesive to containers. The grouping unit groups and compress a predetermined number of containers to form a container bundle.

The container input is either a single-track container feed, a multi-track container feed, a single-track container stream, or a multi-track container stream.
