POSITIVE EXPIRATORY PRESSURE DEVICES WITH FLUTTER VALVE
A positive pressure airway device for providing resistance in an air pathway for a patient exhaling. The device includes a central tube region, a inspiratory air passageway for passing air into the central tube region when a patient breathing through the device inhales, and an expiratory air passageway for passing air out of the central tube region when a patient breathing through the device exhales, A valve in the expiratory air passageway allows air to flow out only when a patient using the device exhales with an expiratory air pressure greater than a selected pressure, and includes a stopper and a coil spring with an interior portion that is free from any structure that would inhibit the side-to-side movement of the spring within the housing. The stopper has a cone-shaped air-stopping surface providing a valve angle that is different from the valve-seat angle so that either laminar or oscillating flow may be obtained.
Physical rehabilitation method, controller, and system
A method for assisting a patient in physical rehabilitation, the method being executed by a controller, and the controller being configurable with at least one physical rehabilitation strategy and being communicatively connected with a respiratory device and an exercise device. The method includes controlling at least one of a device setting of the respiratory device and a device setting of the exercise device, based on a target physical rehabilitation strategy among the at least one physical rehabilitation strategy.
OXYGEN ENHANCED EXERCISE AND REST SYSTEM
The present invention provides methods and systems for a breathing system, comprising breathing apparatus having a rigid base structure having a top portion, a bottom portion, an internal surface, and an external surface, wherein the top portion contains an arcuate section for covering a user's nose and the bottom portion is wider than the top portion for covering a user's mouth, the base structure contains an outer edge. A facepiece is engaged to the outer edge of the base structure and surrounds the base structure. A side passageway is disposed on a side of the base structure and is surrounded by a rim on the external surface of the base structure that extends outwardly from the external surface. A hose attachment device is selectively secured to the rim. The system also includes a storage device, and an oxygen supply.
ORAL DEVICE AND METHOD FOR THE USE THEREOF
An oral device includes an intraoral bolus simulator comprising an exterior surface and having an interior volume Tillable with a fluid. An extraoral user interface extends from the bolus simulator, and can be used to locate or position the intraoral bolus simulator. In various embodiments, the fluid may be a gas or a liquid, or combinations thereof. In other embodiments, an oral device includes an extraoral handle, a shield connected to the handle, a tether extending from the shield, and a bolus simulator connected to the tether.
Multifunctional exercise chair for body stretching
Disclosed is a multifunctional exercise chair for body stretching, comprising a wheelchair frame body, wherein a mounting frame is detachably mounted on an end of the wheelchair frame body away from the driving rear wheel and located under the seat cushion, a pedal gear is rotatably mounted at a bottom of the mounting frame and a pedal is provided thereon, a hand crank gear is rotatably mounted on a top of the mounting frame and a hand crank handle is provided thereon, a rotating shaft is provided between two driving rear wheels; a driven gear is fixedly mounted on the rotating shaft, a supporting chain gear is mounted on the mounting frame and arranged adjacent to the pedal gear, and the hand crank gear, the pedal gear, the driven gear and the supporting chain gear are wound and connected by a transmission chain.
Fitness equipment and automatic oxygen-generating fitness equipment
A fitness equipment and an automatic oxygen-generating fitness equipment are disclosed. The fitness equipment comprises a power unit, a sensor unit and an oxygen-generating assembly. The power unit comprises a belt drive turnplate, a belt and a magnetic wheel. Rotation of the belt drive turnplate drives the belt to operate so that the magnetic wheel is driven to rotate. The sensor unit is adapted to detect the belt drive turnplate and generate an activation signal when the belt drive turnplate is rotating. The oxygen-generating assembly comprises a control unit, a motor and an oxygen generator. The control unit is configured to receive the activation signal from the sensor so that the motor is activated to drive the oxygen generator to operate. The control unit may also control the equipment to switch between an oxygen-generating mode and a non-oxygen-generating mode.
PHYSICAL EXERCISE METHOD,CONTROLLER ,AND SYSTEM
A method for assisting a patient in physical rehabilitation, the method being executed by a controller, and the controller being configurable with at least one physical rehabilitation strategy and being communicatively connected with a respiratory device and an exercise device. The method includes controlling at least one of a device setting of the respiratory device and a device setting of the exercise device, based on a target physical rehabilitation strategy among the at least one physical rehabilitation strategy.
Exercise Apparatus Simulating Mild to High Altitude Environments
A personal physical conditioning system, for a single, full-size human subject, has a sealable chamber that is configured to allow entry therein and occupancy thereof by the entirety of the single, full-size human subject and to allow the subject to exercise in a standing position using an item of physical conditioning equipment entirely contained within the sealable chamber. The system also has a ventilation system, including a pump, operable to change air in the sealable chamber and to establish, within the sealable chamber, a desired non-zero air pressure level of less than 1 atmosphere and down to pressure conditions substantially equivalent to an elevation of 25,000 feet above sea level. Related methods are also provided.
Exercise apparatus simulating mild to high altitude environments
A personal exercise apparatus that allows simultaneous simulation of mild to high altitude environments with algorithmically driven environmental stressors that may be pre-programmed or personally developed via physiological feedback during training. Additional stressors include an ability to transiently alter pressure in a chamber of the personal exercise apparatus at variable frequencies and amplitudes with a range of changes with an option of random pressure oscillations designed to personalize training programs. The additional stressors further include small variations in inspired CO2 levels and temperature allowing individuals to simulate breathing and temperature conditions in preparation for desired environmental conditions.
HYPERTHERMIC CONDITIONING CAPSULE
