PACKAGING MACHINE WITH TRANSPORT CHAIN
A packaging machine having several work stations, a transport chain and a chain deflection pulley on which the transport chain is mounted. The transport chain comprises chain clips, each chain clip having an upper part and a lower part, wherein the upper part and/or the lower part may be moveable relative to each other to move the chain clips between an open position and a closed position. The material blank may be introduced into the open chain clips and secured in the closed chain clips to transport the material blank in a direction of transport using the transport chain. A chain opening mechanism may be actively and operably changed between an opening state and a closing state in order to open and close at least one chain clip disposed on a planar oriented section of the transport chain and/or to maintain an already opened chain clip in an open state.
METHOD FOR CYCLICALLY ADVANCING MATERIAL BLANKS IN A PACKAGING MACHINE
A method for operating a packaging machine including one or more of the method steps advancing a transport chain along a chain deflection pulley, wherein chain clips are arranged on the transport chain and moved during the advancing motion of the transport chain along a run-on contour, to open at least one of the chain clips; introducing a flat material blank into the at least one open chain clip using a feed device or by entraining the flat material blank using a connection to a second material blank preceding the flat material blank, wherein the material blank enters the open chain clip during an advancing motion of the transport chain; closing the chain clip by leaving the run-on contour, to grip and secure the material blank in the chain clip; and transporting the material blank to a work station using the transport chain.
Coil packaging system
Disclosed is a coil packaging system. The system comprises a first robot arm having a grappling portion adapted to grip a wrapping material, a second robot arm having a grappling portion adapted to grip the wrapping material, and a coil rotating means adapted to carry and rotate a coil about a coil axis. The first robot arm is movable along a first horizontal axis (A1) which, in an operating position, coincides with the coil axis, while the second robot arm is movable along a second horizontal axis (A2), the second horizontal axis (A2) being parallel to the first horizontal axis (A1), and along a third horizontal axis (A3), the third horizontal axis (A3) being perpendicular to the second horizontal axis (A2).

DUAL LANE, PREMADE POUCH PACKAGING MACHINE
Disclosed is a pick-fill-seal type dual lane premade pouch packing machine (200) that reduces the setup time and allows flexibility to change the gripper width as per the pouch size. The machine (200) comprises a plurality of gripper assemblies (150) linearly mounted on two indexing assemblies (110A, 110B) driven by two independent driving mechanisms wherein first gripper fingers (120) are mounted on the first indexing assembly (110A) and second gripper fingers (130) are mounted on the second indexing assembly (110B). Cam followers (140) are fitted on the gripper assemblies (150) either on upper side or lower side thereof such that gripper assemblies (150) with upper side cam-followers (140) and lower side cam-followers (140) are arranged alternately. The independence of cam motion from the indexing assemblies (110A, 110B) allows the indexing distance to be reduced which results in reduction in the machine length and the floor space required.
