A method of making a web of multi-dose cleaning products may include forming first and second pluralities of internal holders in a first film, forming a first plurality of external holders in an carrier sheet corresponding with the first plurality of internal holders, and forming a second plurality of external holders in the carrier sheet corresponding with the second plurality of internal holders. The method may also include filling each of the first plurality of internal holders with a first cleaning composition, and filling each of the second plurality of internal holders with a second cleaning composition. Furthermore, the method may include sealing a second film to the first film to define first and second pluralities of pouches, folding the carrier sheet so that each of the first plurality of pouches overlaps a corresponding one of the second plurality of pouches, and sealing together overlapping portions of the carrier sheet.

A web of multi-dose cleaning products and method of manufacturing the same is disclosed. The web includes a carrier sheet including first and second pluralities of depressions, a first plurality of pouches, and a second plurality of pouches. Each of the pouches is positioned in a respective depression in the carrier sheet. The first plurality of pouches contain a first cleaning composition, and the second plurality of pouches contain a second cleaning composition. A first end of the carrier sheet is folded over a second end of the carrier sheet so that each multi-dose cleaning product is defined by at least an overlapping pair of the first and second pouches and an overlapping pair of the first and second depressions.

A method and apparatus for pleating or otherwise shaping a web are described herein. The method and apparatus may have numerous applications. In some embodiments, the method and apparatus are used in the formation, filling, and sealing of unit dose packages for consumer products. A method and apparatus for forming sealing two moving webs together, which webs have portions that are non-planar are also described herein.

A method and apparatus for pleating or otherwise shaping a web are described herein. The method and apparatus may have numerous applications. In some embodiments, the method and apparatus are used in the formation, filling, and sealing of unit dose packages for consumer products. A method and apparatus for forming sealing two moving webs together, which webs have portions that are non-planar are also described herein.

A box configuring tool includes a base having a planar surface, a first stop positioned at a first end of the base, and a second stop positioned at a second end of the base opposing the first end of the base. The tool also includes a pair of spaced-apart walls coupled to the base to define an open-ended chute along the base's planar surface. The open-ended chute is disposed between the first stop and the second stop. The open-ended chute has a tapered-width portion contiguous with a constant-width portion.

An apparatus is disclosed for the manufacture of a filter for disposable capsules for the preparation of beverages from a flat disc made of filtering material. The apparatus comprises a transfer element for transferring the flat disc, a forming element for forming the flat disc to conform it in a cup shape with a pleating on a lateral perimeter surface thereof, an insertion element for inserting the pleated cup inside a waterproof cup as well as a retaining element for continuously retaining the flat disc in a predetermined position at least in the transfer and forming elements and during the transfer thereof between the transfer and forming elements.

A forming device has a die with at least one recess, a punch for forming the packaging material into the recess, and a hold-down device. The hold-down device and the die receive the packaging material between them in a holding region. The die and the hold-down device each have a bearing surface with at least one opening, which is in fluid communication with a fluid source. An aerostatic bearing is formed between the packaging material and the hold-down device and between the packaging material and the die.
