Automated handling and manipulation of packages and packages specially adapted therefor
Systems, methods, and apparatuses for handling and manipulating packages in automated or semi-automated fashion and packages adapted for the same. The systems may include package-holding devices, package-manipulating devices, and package-detection components for locating packages or portions thereof in a three-dimensional space. The packages may include features that enable automated or semi-automated handling and manipulation thereof, such as different types of opening/closing mechanisms with different geometric structures that allow for holding, shifting, and manipulating the packages and/or portions thereof with the package-manipulating devices. The packages additionally or alternatively may include mechanical fasteners, magnets, and/or spring-biased opening/closing mechanisms for keeping the packages closed prior to manipulation thereof. Such packages and systems may be used in a logistics network to the increase speed, accuracy, and efficiency of processing packages having, at least in part, a non-fixed geometry.
ZIPPER CLOSER
A zipper closure device for use with a turret type flexible pouch fill machine. The zipper closer device has a pair of rollers supported by an arm which is permitted to oscillate within a support module. The support module is mounted such that the rollers oscillate in a radial direction with respect to the access of rotation of the turret. The support module is supported by an arm in a post which permits positioning of the closer device with respect to the position of the pouches to be closed.
TIE SLEEVE FOR FORMING AN ENCLOSURE FROM A SHEET
A device and method for assembling a pouch from a sheet material, including a hollow body with a passage formed therethrough and a slot extending across a width of the hollow body configured to receive a tying piece, wherein a sheet material may be placed through the passage of the hollow body so that a necking portion is formed in the sheet material by wrapping the ends of the tying piece at the slot around the sheeting material and securing the ends of the tying piece together, after which a pouch is formed from the sheet material and the tying device that may be removed from the device.
FORM FILL SEAL MACHINE FOR A BAG WITH A BAND
The invention relates to a form fill seal machine (200) for producing and filling a bag (100) with a band, said bag comprising a first sheet (112) and a second sheet (114) that together form a first edge (117) and a second edge (118) of the bag, and a band closing device (120), the machine comprising:a device (210) configured to feed a film (1) onto the machine,a conveying device (215) configured to position at least one band (136) on the film,a folding device (240) configured to fold the film (1) in such a way as to form the first sheet (112) and the second sheet (114) of the bag, welding jaws (245a, 245b) configured to weld the first sheet (112) and the second sheet (114) in such a way as to close two sides of the bag and leave a third side of the bag open,a filling chute (250) configured to fill the bag via the third side of the bag, andwelding jaws (255) configured to close the bag by sealing the third side.
Method and device for sealing packages
A device for sealing packages, including a product feed and a packaging feed for a tubular packaging material; and a method for sealing packages. Such devices are used, for example, as tubular bag machines. The packages can be produced by type for improved recyclability while simultaneously maintaining a high load-bearing capacity of the package closures with the aid of a closure element made of the same material as the rest of the package by welding the closure element and the package in the closure region.
Liner crimp device
A bag film crimping device has a socket having top and bottom components joined by a bridge. Each socket component has a pair of opposed limbs, and each limb having inwardly directed teeth. A plug fits between the limbs with a friction fit in a movement from proximal to distal, and it has outwardly directed teeth for engagement with the teeth of the socket. A cover slide over the socket to cover a space at a distal end between the limbs when the socket and plug components have been separated after crimping. The cover includes has tines for prising a socket limb from the plug as the cover is pressed distally after it has previously been used to cover exposed edges of film after crimping and the top and bottom components have been separated.
