HOLE PUNCHING AND SPINDLE STUFFING AFTER BAGGER

Embodiments are directed to methods, systems and packages for packaging the coreless paper products and accessory products. Embodiments include receiving paper products, receiving a container used for packaging the paper products, and packaging the paper products into the container. Embodiments also include inserting accessory products into a cavity formed by the paper products packaged in the container, and applying a label on the container to cover the cavity where the accessory products are inserted.

Systems and methods for local dimming in multi-modulation displays

Dual and multi-modulator projector display systems and techniques are disclosed. In one embodiment, a projector display system comprises a light source; a controller, a first modulator, receiving light from the light source and rendering a halftone image of said the input image; a blurring optical system that blurs said halftone image with a Point Spread Function (PSF); and a second modulator receiving the blurred halftone image and rendering a pulse width modulated image which may be projected to form the desired screen image. Systems and techniques for forming a binary halftone image from input image, correcting for misalignment between the first and second modulators and calibrating the projector system—e.g. over time—for continuous image improvement are also disclosed.

A device for automatically applying a length of tape to a cardboard box includes a cut off arm that has a cutting disposition and a safety disposition. When an active cylinder included in the device is not active, the cut off arm is in a safety disposition. When the cylinder is active, the cut off arm is in a cutting disposition, and may swing to cut off a length of tape.

Re-closure tape application on packaging machine

A tape closure system is shown and described herein. The tape closure system includes a first tape component having a pressure sensitive adhesive and a second tape component having a pressure sensitive adhesive, where at least one of the pressure sensitive adhesives has a modified surface to reduce the tack of the surface such that when the first and second pressure adhesives are brought into contact with one another they may sufficiently adhere to one another to form a seal but are still separable from one another and able to be repeatedly opened and sealed. Such a tape may be manufactured through high speed manufacturing processes and wound into large master rolls. In the roll configuration, the modified surface contacts the backside of the liner and experiences compressive forces in the roll. Due to the compressive forces, a part of the modified surface may get pushed into the PSA, thereby affecting the properties of the modified adhesive. An embodiment of this invention provides an embossed liner with spacers that nest the modified adhesive surface when it is self-wound, thereby preventing the deterioration of the adhesive properties. An embodiment of the invention is a method by which the adhesive-based closure system can be applied on to a flexible packaging material on a Form Fill Seal packaging machine in one of three ways: (1) In a form of a tape from a spool. (2) In a form of an adhesive dispensed directly on to flexible packaging material. (3) In form of a tape dispensed from a roll of pressure sensitive adhesive roll. Another embodiment of the invention is a double sided tape with the detack layer on both sides. An embodiment of the present invention can also be used for temporary closure with no damage done to the underlying system.

Window deco film and method of fabricating the same

A method of fabricating a window deco film includes forming a hard coating layer, forming a deco layer on the hard coating layer, forming a light-shielding layer on the deco layer, and forming an acryl-based coating layer on the hard coating layer before forming the deco layer, or on the light-shielding layer. The window deco film may have a remarkably reduced thickness, and thus an entire thickness of an image display device including a window substrate to which the window deco film is applied may be also reduced. Additionally, even when the window deco film is attached to a curved window substrate, a bubble may not be generated at a curved portion of the window substrate. A mura caused by a retardation or a phase difference due to the window deco film may be suppressed. Thus, the window deco film may have an improved transmittance.

Apparatus and method for sealing or tying products

An apparatus for sealing or tying products, comprising a housing with at least a first tape dispenser and a star wheel, a slot defined by or through the housing, wherein the star wheel extends at least partly in said slot, wherein the star wheel comprises a series of first cells and a series of second cells, the first and second cells being intermittently disposed in the star wheel, each cell being open to a periphery of the star wheel and two opposite sides thereof, wherein an urging device is provided having at least one edge portion for urging at least one product to be tied into one of the cells, especially a first cell.

Automated plant sleeve production assembly
11064824 · 2021-07-20 · ·

An assembly for the automated production of conical paper sleeves for plants uses paper stock precut in a trapezoid configuration which is continuously fed to the assembly. The precut sheets are folded diagonally twice to form a conical sleeve. The folding process includes application of an adhesive on the overlap of the folded sides to securely seal the sleeve. The precut sheets are transported along the assembly via a series of belts, rollers and electrical motors. The synchronization of the folding process and the application of adhesive is electronically monitored and controlled.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ERECTING AND FILLING A FOLDING BOX
20210300606 · 2021-09-30 ·

For the purpose of erecting and filling a folding box which has closure flaps on two opposite sides, the folding box is removed from a store and erected such that the closure flaps are arranged on its upper side and its underside. The lower closure flaps are folded over and the underside of the folding box is thus closed, whereupon products are introduced into the folding box. Then, the upper closure flaps are folded over, as a result of which the upper side of the folding box is closed. Thereafter, both the upper closure flaps and the lower closure flaps are fixed in their closed position in a downstream fixing apparatus.
