A method for manufacture and filling with a sterile liquid of a tubular packaging includes: providing a container with liquid therein, providing a tube, filling the tube with the liquid from the container, dividing the tube into tubular segments by successive welding operations, and separating the tubular segments at the welded seams. After each welding operation the tube is displaced over a distance corresponding to a desired length of the tubular segments, or multiple thereof. During each welding operation pressure can be exerted locally on and energy can be supplied to the tube. Exertion of pressure and the supply of energy can be staggered in time. During each welding operation a temperature at the welded seam can be kept constant. During each welding operation a welding parameter can be measured, and the welding operation can be controlled on the basis of the measured value of the welding parameter.

The pinch roller apparatus (e.g., comprising one or more guide and/or pinch rollers) is used to deliver film material to the fluid supply apparatus (e.g., nozzle and blower apparatus, or the like) that fills one or more chambers of the film material with fluid (e.g., air, gas, or other like fluid), and the film material is then sealed by a sealing apparatus (e.g., using one or more heating elements with an improved temperature sensor configuration) that seals the fluid within the one or more chambers in order to form the inflated article (e.g., inflated packaging material). In particular, the sealing apparatus provides improved sealing through the improved accuracy of the temperature reading in the heating zone, in part, by locating a sensor between a heating element and a protective member that covers the sensor.

It is provided that the packaging machine comprises at least one conveyer unit for conveying the packaging sleeve group in a conveyor direction perpendicular to the longitudinal extent of the packaging group and at least one outer packaging unit for preparing an outer packaging-shaping sheet material in a base position, and in that, seen in the conveyor direction behind the sheet material in the base position, a sealing unit is provided for sealing of the sheet material enclosed in the packaging sleeve group.

An apparatus for the preparation of comestible-containing sandwich products comprises a sandwich product assembly station and corresponding means for the fabrication and assembly of a sandwich product in the vertical direction. The apparatus includes an extruder nozzle, wafer trays and corresponding components for the location of wafers on opposite sides of the extruded product, an indexing wheel for receiving the assembled sandwich product, and sandwich transporting means for moving the sandwich to a wrapping assembly and from there to a discharge end, wherein all of the components of the apparatus are mounted in cantilevered fashion on a vertical support or base member. Each element is powered individually by a servo motor or actuator and controlled by a controller allowing the variability of throughput for each station.

A sealing machine is provided for sealing a sealing material by heating a fin of the sealing material wrapped around a product.
