A METHOD FOR ASSESSING QUALITY OF A LONGITUDINAL SEALING AND A SERVER
A method (700) for assessing quality of a longitudinal sealing (402, 502) in a roll fed packaging machine. The roll fed packaging machine comprises a packaging material receiver arranged to receive a web (104) of packaging material (202), wherein the packaging material (202) comprises an outer protective layer (204), an inner protective layer (206) and an intermediate strengthening layer (208), and wherein the web (104) has a first (302) and second (304) longitudinal side section, a strip receiver arranged to receive a protective strip (106), wherein the protective strip (106) has a first (306) and a second (308) longitudinal side section, a strip applicator (122) arranged to form a longitudinal strip sealing (502) by applying the protective strip (106) on the web (104) by heating the web (104) and the protective strip (106) and pressing the web (104) and protective strip (106) together and a strip application camera (108) arranged to capture strip application image data from a strip application area (310). The method comprises receiving (710) strip applicationimage data of the strip application area (310), extracting (712) features from the strip application image data, wherein the features are related to effects of the heating provided by the strip applicator (122), determining (714) a strip application status by evaluating the features, wherein the strip appication status relates to the quality of the longitudinal strip sealing (502), and transmitting (716) the strip application status, thereby providing a quality assessment of the longitudinal strip sealing (502).
LIFTING MECHANISM WITH INTERLOCK AND METHOD
The disclosure relates to a lifting mechanism for opening and closing a tool of a packaging machine. The lifting mechanism comprises at least one first lifting device and at least one second lifting device which can be actuated in succession in order to move the lifting mechanism from an open position to a closed position, wherein the first lifting device is decoupled from a load absorption caused by means of the second lifting device for closing the tool. The lifting mechanism comprises at least one adjustable locking mechanism for force-related decoupling of the first lifting device from a force flow caused by the second lifting device. Furthermore, the disclosure relates to a corresponding method.

System and method for sealing a plastic enclosure
A method and apparatus for sealing a plastic enclosure is provided. The apparatus includes a handle including elements pivotally coupled together at a first end. The apparatus also includes a pair of spaced apart heating elements positioned along an inner surface of an element and connected to a power source where a longitudinal axis of the heating elements is oriented parallel with a longitudinal axis of the element. Plastic material including first and second plastic layers is positioned at an interface between the second elements. Upon pivoting the first elements from an open position to a closed position the heating elements increase a temperature at the interface to melt the plastic material and form a pair of spaced apart seals between the first and second plastic layers.
Vacuum sealer and method of sealing same
A vacuum sealer includes: a housing comprising a vacuum chamber therein; a vacuum pump in fluid communication with the vacuum chamber; a sealing mechanism adjacent a periphery of the vacuum chamber; a valve positioned and configured to releasably seal the vacuum chamber, the valve movable between a first position, in which the valve forms a seal with the sealing chamber, and a second position, in which the valve does not form a seal with the sealing chamber; and a controller operatively connected with the vacuum pump, the sealing mechanism, and the valve. The controller is configured to move the valve from the first position to the second position during sealing.

Automatic trash bag sealing device in an automatic cat litter box and automatic cat litter box
The present disclosure discloses an automatic trash bag sealing device for an automatic cat litter box and an automatic cat litter box. In the automatic trash bag sealing device, a drive motor drives a first rod and/or a second rod to rotate, thereby driving a pushing member to move towards a sealing member, and the trash bag is sealed when the sealing member is interfaced with the pushing member. The sealing device has fewer parts and is simple to assemble, effectively reducing the difficulty of process assembly and the overall cost of the automatic cat litter box.
