CONTINUOUS DECONTAMINATION AND STERILIZATION DEVICE
A continuous decontamination-and-sterilization device possessing high efficiency, reliability, and safety of operation to treat external surfaces of a package that is conveyed to a sterile working chamber. A decontamination chamber decontaminates (with a decontamination agent) bottom and lateral external surfaces of the package conveyed by a first conveyance, with an upper surface seal portion of the package being sealed. An aeration chamber removes residue of decontamination agent from an external surface of the package while the package is conveyed by a second conveyance means. A sterilization chamber sterilizes the upper surface seal portion of the package by irradiating electron beams as the package is conveyed by a third conveyance means, with the bottom or lateral external surface of the package being supported. The first conveyance means includes a sealing means by an adsorbing function to adsorb and capture the upper surface seal portion so as to seal the same and convey the package, with the bottom and lateral external surface portions of the package being open.

Heating Unit for Heating Package Sleeves and Apparatus Comprising Such a Heating Unit
A heating unit is described and illustrated including at least two heating devices for at least partially heating with hot air end areas of package sleeves to be sealed, wherein the heating unit has an air supply device for supplying air to be heated to the heating devices, wherein the heating devices each have a heating element for producing hot air and a nozzle unit for blowing hot air produced in the heating device against the end area of the package sleeve. In order to be able to increase the leak tightness of the sealed end areas of the package sleeves without having to accept an excessive outlay and effort in terms of the equipment and/or in terms of the method for this, it has been proposed that the heating devices are each separately connected to the air supply device by means of at least one holder and are each separately held on the air supply device by means of the at least one holder.

Carpet wrapping apparatus and method of using same
The invention comprises a carpet wrapping apparatus. The apparatus comprises a pair of rotatable rollers for supporting a roll of sheet material and for rotating the roll of sheet material supported thereon and a vertically extending curtain disposed adjacent and spaced from the roll of sheet material so that there is a horizontal gap between the curtain and the roll of sheet material when supported on the rollers. The apparatus also comprises a source of pressurized air directed toward the curtain and a plastic film dispenser disposed above the rollers for dispensing a plastic film between the curtain and the source of pressurized air so that the pressurized air blows the plastic film toward the curtain and into the gap. A method of wrapping a roll of carpet with a plastic film is also disclosed.
