METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING POUCHED TOBACCO PRODUCT
In a method and apparatus for producing a small pouch with a predetermined amount of particulate material therein, a predetermined amount of the particulate material is portioned from a bulk supply and compacted into a single discrete caplet. The caplet is the deposited into an open hollow pouch closed at one end thereof, and the open end is then closed with the caplet between the closed ends of the pouch. The caplet in the pouch is then compressed to return it to its particulate form. The particulate material may be granular or shredded tobacco.
TRIPLE CENTER SEALING DEVICE IN PILLOW PACKAGING MACHINE
The present invention relates to a triple center sealing device in a pillow packaging machine. To this end, the present invention comprises: a plurality of film supply rollers (110) which are provided on one side of a pillow packaging machine (100), and unwind a roll film (P) to supply the same to one side; a guide former (120) which is provided in the pillow packaging machine (100) and functions to tightly roll and wrap the film (P), being conveyed to the one side in an unwound state by the film supply rollers (110), so as to fit the size of a product; a sealing section pleating unit (150) which is provided at the front of the pillow packaging machine (100), and operates by being driven by a driving unit (160) so as to allow a sealing section of the film to be automatically overlapped in a multiple Z-shape, thereby enabling a packaging process to be performed without defects; and a cutting roller (140) which is provided on the other side of the pillow packaging machine (100), and cuts and seals packaging paper that is discharged. According to the present invention having the configuration described above, a center sealing section of the film is bonded after being overlapped three times (double layers×3), and thus the packaging can be performed without defects. Accordingly, the quality and reliability of the sealing device can be significantly improved, and thus various desires (needs) of manufacturers can be satisfied to make a good impression.

Packaging machine and method for producing sealed packages
A packaging machine for producing sealed packages of a pourable product from a packaging material web advancing along a web advancement path comprises an isolation chamber separating inner and outer environments, and a sterilization apparatus for sterilizing the packaging material web and in fluid connection with the isolation chamber. The sterilization apparatus comprises a main shielding chamber housing an irradiation device and comprising an advancement channel having inlet and outlet openings, and through which, in use, the packaging material web advances, and first and second auxiliary shielding chambers having respectively first and second inner spaces fluidically connected to the advancement channel. A pressure control controls a first pressure in the first auxiliary shielding chamber, a second pressure in the second auxiliary shielding chamber and a third pressure in the isolation chamber, the third pressure being higher than the second pressure and the second pressure being higher than the first pressure.
Packaging assembly for wrapping mail items of differing sizes
A packaging assembly for wrapping mail items of differing sizes and each including at least one mail component or a stack of mail components, wherein the packaging assembly comprises: a mail item collecting assembly, a flow wrap station comprising a folding assembly for creating a folded web, a longitudinal sealing assembly for creating a longitudinal seal, and a cross sealing assembly. The packaging assembly is characterized in that the flow wrap station is configured to create said folded web so as to have a single side fold which is positioned on a first side of the subsequently placed mail items, wherein the side fold extends in a transport direction. The packaging assembly further comprises a measuring assembly for determining a transverse position of a second side of the mail item which is opposite the first side. The longitudinal sealing assembly has an infeed end which is positioned downstream of the cross sealing assembly. The longitudinal sealing assembly is configured for creating a mail product by applying a longitudinal seal in each intermediate mail product at the second side of the mail item. The longitudinal sealing assembly comprises a positioning assembly for controlling a transverse position of the longitudinal seal for each intermediate mail product, wherein the transverse position of the longitudinal seal is determined by the transverse position of the second side of the mail item.
