SLIDE MEASURING SYSTEM FOR FILLING POUCHES AND ASSOCIATED METHOD
Systems and methods for metering a granular material for packaging in pouches are disclosed. A system includes a hopper structured and arranged to hold a granular material in a hopper cavity. The system also includes a measuring system including a measuring cavity and a tube that is slidable in the hopper cavity between a first position unaligned with the measuring cavity and a second position over and aligned with the measuring cavity. The measuring system is structured and arranged to move a portion of the granular material from the hopper cavity to the measuring cavity when the tube is in the first position. The measuring system is structured and arranged to move the portion of the granular material from the measuring cavity to a pouch making machine using pressurized gas when the tube is in the second position.
Method for introducing articles into packs
The apparatus (100) for introducing deformable products (B), such as blister packs and informative sheets (F), internally of relative packs (A) comprises first pusher elements (11), mounted on a first looped conveyor organ (1), and first movement means (3), associated to the first conveyor organ (1) for moving the first pusher elements (11), transversally to the advancement direction (V1) thereof, so that they can abut the products (B) and push the products (B) internally of relative packs (A). The apparatus (100) comprises second pusher elements (21) mounted on a second looped conveyor organ (2) which is arranged with respect to the first conveyor organ (1) such that the second pusher elements (21) are arranged above the corresponding first pusher elements (11). Second movement means (4), associated to the second conveyor organ (2), are included for moving the second pusher elements (21), transversally to the advancement direction (V2) thereof, so that they can abut the sheets (F) and push the sheets (F) internally of relative packs (A).

Packaging line for pre-filled syringes and automated packaging process
A packaging line implemented for packaging a pre-filled syringe is disclosed having a NSD mounting station, a PFS delivery arrangement adapted to automatically deliver a pre-filled syringe to the NSD mounting station, and a NSD delivery arrangement adapted to automatically deliver a needle safety device to the NSD mounting station. The NSD mounting station is arranged to automatically assemble the needle safety device to the pre-filled syringe. A NSD visual inspection station is adapted to automatically identify a pre-filled syringe with an unfit needle safety device and to automatically eliminate the identified pre-filled syringe from the packaging line. A re-insertion station is further provided to receive a pre-filled syringe with a needle safety device and to automatically feed the received pre-filled syringe, preferably from a rejected secondary packaging, back into the packaging line, after the NSD mounting station and before the NSD visual inspection station.

Stacking and packaging device
A device for packaging elongated items such as firewood pieces is described herein. The device includes: an elevated structure having an upper platform for receiving the elongated items from a separate conveyor; a diverter located on or above the platform for changing the direction of movement of the elongated items; and one or more elevator shafts having open bottoms. The elevator shafts are located adjacent to the platform and configured for receiving the elongated items after contact with the diverter and for holding the elongated items on support structures while a stack of elongated items is formed. The release of the stack of elongated items from the elevator shafts occurs via the open bottoms of the elevator shafts.

A device for packaging elongated items such as firewood pieces is described herein. The device includes: an elevated structure having an upper platform for receiving the elongated items from a separate conveyor; a diverter located on or above the platform for changing the direction of movement of the elongated items; and one or more elevator shafts having open bottoms. A dimensioning tool for a packing machine is provided. The dimensioning tool is configured to allow insertion of an item into the packing machine when the item satisfies one or more criteria. The dimensioning tool includes a first gauge and a second gauge separate from the first gauge. The first gauge is configured to restrict a first set of dimensions of the item that can be inserted into the packing machine, according to the one or more criteria. The second gauge is configured to restrict a second set of dimensions of the item that can be inserted into the packing machine, according to the one or more criteria.

A dimensioning tool for a packing machine is provided. The dimensioning tool is configured to allow insertion of an item into the packing machine when the item satisfies one or more criteria. The dimensioning tool includes a first gauge and a second gauge separate from the first gauge. The first gauge is configured to restrict a first set of dimensions of the item that can be inserted into the packing machine, according to the one or more criteria. The second gauge is configured to restrict a second set of dimensions of the item that can be inserted into the packing machine, according to the one or more criteria.
DOSING DEVICE FOR FEEDING AN INFUSION PRODUCT
A dosing device for feeding an infusion product includes: a tower for containing loose infusion product, tubular channels for feeding and discharging the product, first containers for receiving the product from the channels; each channel actuated by an actuation device for releasing a quantity of product; a fixed platform supporting the first containers, a plurality of elements for weighing the product in the containers and supported by the platform; a control unit in communication with each actuating device and with each weighing element, to detect the value measured by each element and actuate the corresponding channel until reaching the quantity of product. Reference elements are independent of the weighing elements are associated with the platform each supporting a weight of predetermined value; each reference element is in communication with the control unit to transmit a signal equivalent to the measured value of the reference weight by the reference element.
