Container for Products
A box for containing stacked absorbent product and a method for making. The box can have six sides forming a six-sided polyhedron, the polyhedron having a primary layer comprising a top surface, a bottom surface, and four side walls. A secondary layer can overlay the primary layer on at least one of the side walls, the secondary layer having outer edges and an interior portion. The outer edges can be substantially coextensive with corner edges of the at least one side wall and the interior portion can be transparent. All six sides of the six-sided polyhedron and the secondary layer can be a folded configuration of a single sheet of material.
BLISTER PACKAGE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A blister package and method of manufacture are provided, the package including a novel pull tab configuration for opening an individual product compartment of the package. According to one embodiment the blister package includes: a thermoformed plastic base substrate having a thickness, the base substrate having at least one thermoformed recessed product cavity to retain product therein and an associated sealing surface area surrounding the product cavity, a peelable cover layer removably attached to the base substrate comprising a first portion covering the product cavity and a second portion overlapping and sealed to the surrounding sealing surface area, the base substrate having a notched line extending across the sealing surface area between two points on a perimeter of the sealing surface area and spaced from the product cavity, the notched line including alternating severed and unsevered line portions, the severed line portions extending completely through the thickness of the base substrate while the unsevered line portions comprise connected portions; wherein a portion of the base substrate is configured to be bent and broken off by a user at the notched line to form a pull tab that includes the broken off portion of the base substrate and the cover layer sealed thereto, enabling a user grasping the pull tab to peel back and separate the cover layer from the sealing surface area surrounding the product cavity to enable release of a product from the product cavity.
Reclosable Flexible Film Packaging Products and Methods of Manufacture
The present disclosure relates to a reclosable flexible film package with a flexible film having a fold forming a folded edge, at least two opposing free edges, and at least a front panel and a back panel, where the opposing free edges are sealed together to form at least one sealed edge such that front and back panels define an interior space. The flexible film package also may have a score in the flexible film of the front panel forming a flap that defines an opening when the flap is moved upward, toward the folded edge and a label extending uninterrupted from edge to edge, the label being attached on the film by pressure sensitive adhesive, and extending beyond the score on the front panel to reseal the package opening defined by the flap.
Lottery ticket pack and associated method for unwrapping the pack and connecting lottery tickets of adjacent packs
A lottery ticket pack and associated method for manipulating such packs is provided. Each individual lottery ticket pack is wrapped with a wrapping material, and a label is adhered to the wrapping material. The label includes a first portion permanently adhered to the wrapping material and a second portion having a releasable adhesive applied to a surface thereof. The label is grasped and pulled away from the ticket pack in a manner that causes the permanently adhered first portion of the label to tear the wrapping material from the ticket pack. Then, the remaining wrapping material is manually removed from the pack. The second portion of the label is used to connect the last ticket in the ticket pack to a first ticket in a separate unwrapped ticket pack by pressing the side of the second portion containing the releasable adhesive across aligned ends of the adjacent tickets.
Reclosable flexible film packaging products and methods of manufacture
The present disclosure relates to a reclosable flexible film package with a flexible film having a folded edge, at least two opposing free edges, and at least a front panel and a back panel. The front and back panels define an interior space. The flexible film package also may have a score in the flexible film of the front panel forming a flap that defines an opening when the flap is moved upward, toward the folded edge and a label extending uninterrupted from edge to edge of the at least two opposing free edges, the label being attached on the film by pressure sensitive adhesive, and extending beyond the score on the front panel to reseal the package opening defined by the flap.
PACKAGE SEAL HAVING A FIBROUS BREATHABLE MATERIAL
The invention provides a sterilizable pouch having at least one wall formed of a flexible film and including an opening formed therein for providing communication to an interior space of the package. A breathable material is disposed on an outer surface of the wall covering the opening. The breathable material is joined to the outer surface of the wall with a continuous heat seal. A heat resistant material is positioned between the breathable material an outer surface of the wall.
Reclosable flexible packaging and methods for manufacturing same
Flexible film packages having a partial, initial seal against ambient atmosphere and are easily openable and reclosable. The flexible film packages are generally resealable to extend the shelf-life or freshness of products contained therein once the package is initially opened. By one approach, the flexible film has two opposing edge portions that meet to form a longitudinal seal extending from a first end seal to a second end seal. The flexible film may have a score that defines a package opening. An elongated closure layer may extend over the score and may extend from a first end seal to a second end seal and within the opposing edge portions that form the longitudinal seal. The elongated closure layer may have a tack-free gripping portion used to release at least a portion of the elongated closure from the flexible film to form the package opening.
Method for packaging fiber material
The present invention relates to the use of vacuum packaging and vacuum packaging techniques. Embodiments of the present invention include bales and packages comprising a sealed chamber having an internal volume at a pressure less than ambient atmospheric pressure. In alternate embodiments of the present invention, the internal volume of the package comprises a bulk material, a bulk fiber material, fibers or fibrous materials. Also disclosed are methods for packaging, packaging systems and apparatus for packaging.
Sealing packages using tape and pull cord
An exemplary package-sealing method and system involves sealing a package with adhesive tape such that a pull cord is sandwiched between the tape and the package. A tape head includes a roll of tape and a pull cord spool, and a collar guide that helps position the pull cord between the tape's sides. Forward and rear applying rollers press leading and trailing edges of the tape, respectively, against the package being sealed. A tape blade and a pull cord blade secured to a cutting arm sever the pull cord before severing the tape, leaving a pull tab that extends out from beneath the tape when the package is sealed. The pull tab allows a user to conveniently unseal the package by grasping the pull cord and pulling thereon to separate the tape from the package without using sharp objects, enhancing user safety and reducing accidental damage to packages.
PACK OF BONDED CONTAINERS, PRODUCTION METHOD, AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING THE PACK
A method for producing a pack from containers includes arranging containers into a container group, applying adhesive to the containers, placing an opening thread in the adhesive, attaching an engagement element to the opening thread, and joining the containers, the adhesive, the opening thread, and the engagement element, thereby forming the pack.
