A glove stacking apparatus forming a stack of folded gloves has a supporting surface for supporting the stack as folded gloves are added to the stack along a stacking axis. First and second flaps are pivotable about first and second pivot axes on opposite first and second sides of a glove stacking area. The supporting surface is relatively movable as folded gloves are added to the stack. A cyclic flap actuation system is configured to drive a folding action of each flap in which the flaps alternately pivot about the corresponding pivot axis so that each flap folds a first portion of a deposited glove overlapping a flap towards a second portion of the glove at the glove stacking area; the folding action alternating as gloves are added to the stack. Each flap in addition to being pivotable is also laterally movable both towards and away from the stacking area.

Stacking of gloves

A glove stacking apparatus for forming a stack of gloves for packing into a box comprises a packing recess for receiving gloves to be stacked and for containing the stack as the stack is being formed, and a glove placement means for moving and depositing gloves at the recess one of top of another for forming the stack of gloves. The recess has a pair of opposite side edges. A movable floor within the recess is lowered as the stack of gloves grows whereby the stack of gloves continues to be retained within the recess as gloves are added to the stack. The glove placement means is arranged to deposit gloves with a portion of each glove overlapping alternately one or the other of the opposite side edges of the recess as subsequent gloves are deposited. The apparatus also comprises a pair of movable flaps adjacent the opposite side edges of the recess for folding alternately inwards towards the recess the portions of that gloves that overlap alternately one or another of the opposite side edges of the recess.

A fabric folding article includes guide sections, cover section, and fold sections, cooperating to fold, place, and secure a fabric article inside the apparatus. The guide sections comprise three sections and folding sections comprise four sections cooperating to fold and place the article within the apparatus. The cover sections operate to secure the fabric article within the apparatus. The entire apparatus is made from a single material. Alternatively, the guide sections and the cover sections are made from a first flexible material and the fold sections are made from a second flexible material.

AUTONOMOUS LAUNDRY FOLDING DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS OF USE

An autonomous laundry folding system includes a folding device including a rotatable platform configured to receive a laundry article on a surface thereof and an elongation configured to fold the laundry article on the rotatable platform. The system includes a controller in communication with the folding device and a remote device running a user application for communicating instructions to the folding device to fold the laundry article. The user application includes a graphic display comprising one or more images of the laundry article being displayed on a display screen of the remote device to a user of the remote device, and a user input field configured to receive a user input comprising at least one of an article type identification and a folding preference.

METHOD FOR EMBOSSING A FABRIC PRODUCT WHILE THE PRODUCT IS SITUATED IN PACKAGING

A product including a fabric layer is situated in a plastic bag such that at least a part of the fabric layer is aligned with a portion of a plastic sheet of the bag. An embossing tool is used to press the product and impress the embossing pattern into the fabric product, through the plastic sheet, as well as in the plastic sheet itself, at the same time. Perforations may be created by the embossing tool in certain sections of the product, such as the non-folded sections, and not in other sections. The perforations become an array of holes to create a mesh-like affect by stretching the fabric as the product is removed stretched from the package, used and washed. The tool also presses the plastic sheets together to seal the product in the package.

Autonomous tiered laundry folding devices, systems, and methods of use

Devices, systems, and methods for autonomously shuffling a plurality of platters through a plurality of tiered folding bays are described. Each of the platters includes a platter coupling, and the plurality of tiered folding bays each include a bidirectionally driven receiving coupling, at least one of a sliding folding rod and blade, and a lifting mechanism configured to separate the platter coupling from the receiving coupling. The system includes a loading elevator for loading a platter and unfolded laundry article disposed thereon into a bay, and an unloading elevator for lowering a platter and a folded laundry article thereon to an unloading station for handing off to packing. A return conveyor returns each emptied platter to a repositioning station for receiving another spread laundry article for folding. The loading elevator, unloading elevator and each of the plurality of folding bays includes a pair of driven conveyors for transferring platters.
