Described is a bagging station for use in a retail store to hold paper bags for filling with purchased products. The bagging station includes a bag retaining fixture for holding paper bags instead of hooks for holding plastic bags. The bag retaining fixture includes an elongate rod and a roller wheel. The elongate rod acts as an axle for the roller wheel. The elongate rod is coupled to a side wall of the bagging station. The elongate rod biases the roller wheel against the side wall. A side of a bag placed between the roller wheel and the side wall holds the paper bag in position on the bagging station so the bag can be filled with purchased items, then removed to be carried out of the store.

The back plate couples the bagging station to a shopping cart by securing a side of the shopping cart between the back plate and the center piece. The center piece includes a bag holder hook that holds at least one shopping bag. The first and the second handle arm assembly each include a handle holder arm that holds the arms of one or more shopping bag. The first and the second handle arm assemblies slidingly insert into a hollow body of the center piece and are adjustably coupled to the center piece. The shopping cart coupler assembly couples the bagging station to a shopping cart. The shopping cart bagging station can be mounted in various locations on a shopping cart, making it easy and convenient for a customer to carry and load a number of shopping bags as they shop.

A rotatable bag rack to support a plurality of bag types. The bag rack includes a stand and a rack. The rack is pivotally mounted to the stand so as to be rotatable about a pivot axis relative to the stand between a first position to hold a first bag type and a second position to hold a second bag type. The rack includes a pair of spaced apart arms to hold the first bag type that, in the first position, extends forward relative to the pivot axis. The rack, in the second position, extends downward relative to the pivot axis. The shopping cart bagging station can be made from recyclable materials and is lightweight and portable. The shopping cart bagging station can be supplied as a kit, where the kit includes a sheet of rigid material, with each of the shopping cart elements outlined with perforated lines in the sheet of rigid material. The shopping cart bagging station is constructed by separating elements along the perforated lines, and then fitting the shopping cart bagging station elements together to form the shopping cart bagging station. The shopping cart bagging station elements fit together with slot joints formed by connecting slots in the elements. The customer can separate the shopping cart bagging station elements and construct the shopping cart bagging station themselves.

A dispensing system for mailing and other bags comprises a plurality of bags (10) arranged as a stack, each bag being frangibly connected along their upper side edge at (15) to a header (16), and a fastener (18) extending through the header (16) of each bag for securing the bags (10) together into an assembly, the system further comprising hanger (24) for supporting the bag assembly, the hanger (24) comprising a formation (26) arranged to engage a complimentary formation (20) on the rear of the fastener (18). The hanger (24) can be permanently fixed to a support structure and the assembly of bag (10) is then fitted to the hanger by engaging the formation (20) on the fastener with the complimentary formation (26) on the hanger (24). The bags (10) then hang from the hanger (24) in such a way that they can easily and singlehandedly be opened and detached by pulling them away from their header (16).
