Apparatus and method for dispensing solid substances
The invention relates to an apparatus and a method for dispensing solid substances, wherein the apparatus comprises a feeder section with a plurality of feeder units, a collection section with a plurality of hoppers and a dispensing section, wherein the plurality of hoppers are rotatable with respect to the feeder units and a first packing position for dispensing the solid substances to the dispensing section, wherein the apparatus comprises a cleaning device for removing pollutants from the hoppers, wherein the cleaning device comprises a hub and a plurality of ducts forming air connections between the plurality of hoppers and the hub, wherein the cleaning device comprises a first blocking member that is arranged for blocking the air connection between one of the hoppers and the hub when said one hopper is positioned in the first packing position.
Method and apparatus for sterilizing drink supply pipeline
Hot water or heated steam is fed to a drink supply pipe line for simultaneously supplying drink to a plurality of filling nozzles, while exhausting the hot water or heated steam from all the filling nozzles, F-values are calculated by detecting temperatures at a plurality of predetermined portions of the drink supply pipe line and all the filling nozzles at every predetermined time interval, and a sterilizing process is ended at a time when a minimum F-value reaches an aimed value. According to such method, the sterilization to the drink supply pipe line can be smoothly performed.
DOSING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR A DOSING OF LIQUID OR PASTE-LIKE PRODUCTS, IN PARTICULAR FOOD PRODUCTS, AND FILLING INSTALLATION WITH SUCH A DOSING DEVICE
A dosing device for dosing liquid or pasty products includes at least one dosing unit (12) having at least one movably supported dosing nozzle (16) for filling containers (18). The dosing device further includes at least one cleaning unit (20) at least for cleaning and/or sterilizing the dosing nozzle (16), and also includes at least one sterile chamber (22) which section-wise surrounds a packaging carrier (24). The device also includes at least one dosing chamber (26) which is arranged above the sterile chamber (22) and in which at least the cleaning unit (20) is arranged. The dosing chamber (26) has a bottom (28) which faces the sterile chamber (22) and which has at least one dosing opening (30) which faces the sterile chamber (22) and through which the containers (18) arranged in the sterile chamber (22) can be filled by the dosing nozzle (16) in at least one operating state.
METHODS AND DEVICES FOR FILLING CUPS, PACKAGING LINES FOR CUPS
Disclosed is a method for filling cups in which: a cup is brought and held vertically with and opposite a distribution nozzle; next, the blocking rod is brought into the open position and the cup is filled with a product flowing through the distribution nozzle; when a preferred quantity of product is present in a cup, the blocking rod is brought into the closed position and a product flow is stopped; the blocking rod is brought into a contact position in which the blocking rod extends out of the distribution nozzle through the distribution opening such that a lower end of the blocking rod comes in the contact with the product upper-surface.
Form-filing machine
Process to produce containers out of preforms, in which the preform is inserted in a form-filling station, molded and filled in this station. Gas, which remains in the head space after the end of the filling process, is replaced by a purge gas, and a form-filling machine is provided to produce and to fill containers made of preforms.
STERILIZATION SYSTEM FOR A BLOW/FILL/SEAL MACHINE
A fill assembly sterilization method and system for a blow/fill/seal machine utilizes a closed loop circulation of sterilant containing gas. A typical sterilant is nitrogen dioxide in humidified air. The closed loop includes a shroud that defines a plenum and encloses the fill system. Optionally, at least one high efficiency particulate absorption (HEPA) filter is provided in the closed loop. Sterility assurance level of 10.sup.6 can be achieved by subjecting the fill system to the sterilizing gas for at least 20 minutes at a temperature in the range of about 18 C. to about 30 C. Preferred sterilant gas is humidified air containing about 10 to about 20 milligrams of nitrogen dioxide per liter.
