Cushion Packages for Object Protection
A cushion package can be formed around an object. The object can be removed from and reinserted into the cushion package. The cushion package includes a cushion material (104) having a longitudinal length and two longitudinal edges (110). The two longitudinal edges (110) of the cushion material are folded into an overlapping position to form a tube of the cushion material. The cushion package includes first and second transverse seals (148,150) in the tube of the cushion material. The first and second transverse seals (148,150) respectively form first and second ends of the cushion package. Each of the first transverse seal and the second transverse seal (148,150) seals the cushion material with the two longitudinal edges (110) in the overlapping position. The two longitudinal edges (110) of the cushion material are uncoupled between the first transverse seal and the second transverse seal (148,150).
Method of packaging sterilized products
The invention provides a method of introducing a sterilized product into a controlled environment. The sterilized product is enclosed in a substantially hermetically sealed first layer, which is enclosed in a substantially hermetically sealed second layer, which is enclosed in a substantially hermetically sealed third layer, which is enclosed in a substantially hermetically sealed fourth layer. The method includes removing the fourth layer in a first environment (having a first sterility), removing the third layer in a controlled second environment (having a predetermined second sterility that is higher than the first sterility), removing the second layer in a controlled third environment (having a predetermined third sterility that is higher than the second sterility), and removing the first layer in a controlled fourth environment (with a predetermined fourth sterility that is higher than the third sterility) to expose the sterilized product.
METHODS, APPARATUS, AND SYSTEMS FOR MULTI-MATTRESS COMPRESSION PACKING
Methods of compressing and sealing a plurality of mattresses in an air-impermeable, pliable outer container; and assemblies comprising such a plurality of mattresses. The plurality of mattresses may be rolled into a cylindrical shape for transport from a manufacturer to a distribution center or a retail location. Each mattress may be enclosed in an air-permeable, pliable decorative container that may be suitable for display or transfer to customers. The methods and the assemblies may allow greater efficiency in shipping mattresses to a distribution center or a retail location, and/or greater efficiency in preparing mattresses for display or transfer to customers of the retail location.
COFFEE BEAN COMPRESSION BLOCK, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD AND MANUFACTURING DEVICE OF TEA BAG, USING SAME
The present disclosure provides various kinds of coffee drinks such as espresso using compressed coffee bean blocks or coffee particles finely separated in a compressing process, thus allowing people to enjoy unique deep and rich flavor of the roasted coffee bean, and vacuum packs a coffee bean tea-bag by a vacuum wrapper, thus maintaining the flavor of the roasted coffee bean for a lengthy period of time, and utilizing compressed coffee as an air freshener.
Microwaveable Packaged Food Product
A package containing nuts and suitable for microwave heating is described herein. The package is configured to heat the nuts and provide an aroma reminiscent of traditional, freshly-roasted nuts. The freshly-roasted nut attributes include an aroma, temperature, texture and taste, which are reproduced with the microwave package. The package preferably, though not necessarily, incorporates one or more susceptors in order to provide additional heating, such as conductive heating, to the nuts. The package also preferably includes a sufficient headspace to allow for the aromas to develop.
METHOD OF COMPRESSING TISSUE BUNDLES
A method is disclosed for forming a tissue bundle from a stack of folded absorbent tissues. The method includes the steps of forming a stack of folded absorbent tissues; compressing the stack to an initial density in a first compression step; wrapping the stack a first time in a supporting wrapper to form an initial bundle and maintain the initial density; subsequently applying a second compression step to compress the stack to a final density that is higher than the initial density; and wrapping the stack a second time to form a final bundle and to maintain the final density.
PACKAGED EDIBLE MATERIALS
In one aspect, methods for producing packaged edible materials are provided. In a further aspect, edible material dispensing apparatus are provided. In additional aspects, pod units are provided including those adapted for containing equine supplement or feed materials.
Moisture Prevention Packaging System and Methods
A packaged article is composed of a bulk bag having a top end and a bottom end. Further included is a pallet having a first side and a second side. Also included are an outer bag having a first closed end and a first open end and a heatshrink bag having a second closed end and a second open end. The first closed end of the outer bag is between the bottom end of the bulk bag and the first side of the pallet. The first open end of the outer bag is gathered over the top end of the bulk bag to enclose the bulk bag within the outer bag. The second closed end of the heatshrink bag is proximate to the top end of the bulk bag and the second open end contacts the second side of the pallet.
Apparatus for turning elongate objects
An apparatus for turning elongate objects conveyed into a discharge orientation. The apparatus includes a feed device and a turning worm screw. The turning worm screw comprises at least one worm channel open radially outwards and is delimited by a feed side delimiting wall, discharge side delimiting wall, and a radially inner circumferential wall. Both the feed side delimiting wall and the discharge side delimiting wall have a screw pitch which reduces from a feed end to a discharge end of the turning worm screw. A feed path of the feed device approaches a feed portion of the turning worm screw to the side. The feed portion adjoins the feed end of the turning worm screw. The apparatus includes a discharge device assigned to the discharge end of the turning worm screw.
Multi-compartment bag
A method is disclosed for forming a two-compartment bag. The method comprises draping a sheet of bag forming material around a primary fill pipe and one or more secondary fill pipes, forming multiple compartments by sealing the sheet material around the respective fill pipes, filling the various compartments with material, and sealing the bag. The method comprises forming transverse seals so that a transverse seal area of a secondary compartment at least partially overlaps with a transverse seal area of the first compartment, so that the secondary compartment is fixedly folded against the first compartment. The method permits the volume of the secondary compartments to be varied independent from the volume of the primary compartment. Each compartment may be opened without opening the other compartments. In a preferred embodiment the bag is made of a microwave-compatible material, and at least one of the compartments contains a food material intended for reheating or preparation in a microwave oven.
